Supply Store

While playing with us on AotM, you'll notice that some activities earn points, which are all neatly tracked under your name in the #personnel-database on our Discord server. You can use those points here in the shop to grab useful extras, like a private communication channel for your character's team, or a gate link to your own server or forum from AotM. They can also be used to purchase certain character types, like original characters (your first OC is free), or progress through your character's specializations if they're an agent.

We've outlined some year-round ways to earn points, but keep an eye out for special events on both the Discord and RPR for ways to earn more. Once you've earned your points, give staff a heads up, and they'll make sure to add them to your account. When you decide to buy something, we'll take care of deducting the points from your balance automatically. Just hop on the discord and follow the instructions in the points-and-achievements room!

If you would like to reward others any of your points through an event or similar, staff would be happy to help you do so. Just ask!

Class is in Session
If your character is hosting public classes or training sessions, don't forget to swing by and grab your Supply Store points as a reward. You can collect 50 points for each roleplay of a class or training session your character runs (with at least three posts), and there's an extra 100 points for each new character who attends who hasn't before. It's a nice way to welcome new faces, so feel free to send out those invites and earn some points along the way!

Signal Boost
If you made some art or wrote a short story, share what you've made somewhere outside of this community, like on DA or Tumblr, and link back to us to gain some points and give this game a signal boost at the same time. Sharing is caring!

Successfully complete a mission or a bounty either on the Discord or the Forum.

Complete and submit either a Mission Log, a Research File, or a World File.

Fill out and post your art-permissions form on the Discord! This can only be collected once.

Provisions
Complete a resource based bounty from #the-bounty-network of any kind! This can be collected multiple times.

Babysitter Duty
For as long as your character is a chaperone, you can collect 100 points per roleplay with any of the kids under their care. You may utilize this for multiple chaperone characters.

Show 'em the Ropes
For as long as your character is a mentor, you can collect 100 points per roleplay with any of the trainees under their care for the first real world month of their mentorship, starting from your match up. You may utilize this for multiple mentor characters.

Recruiter
Every time you recruit someone new and they hang around, you can collect 500 points after their first roleplay post, and another 500 if one of their characters signs up with the AotM and goes on at least one mission. This can only be collected once per person, and does not apply to returning faces or characters after their first one.

Something Found
Staff will DM an event within your room or forum thread where your character stumbles upon a unique item or resource.

Enemy Sighted
Staff will DM an event within your room or forum thread where your character encounters a threat or an enemy. This purchase only counts for one threat/enemy. If you would like more than one, feel free to buy multiples.

Intercom
You can have your character leave an IC announcement up on the front page at the beginning of the month. All messages will go up on the 1st and be cleared by the 1st of the next month. You may use this for multiple characters.

Incidentals
Staff will post flavor text for the discord room or forum thread of your choice, as long as it's your thread or the okay has been given by the people in that thread. This will be non-violent, simple things like a weather change or an animal wandering by.

CSS help isn't currently available, but we'd be happy to help you with BBC code, graphics, colors, and all that good stuff! Please allow about a month for finished pages. These can be time intensive and Jabber is often busy.

Simple splash/indexes are free, but complicated/time intensive designs will require you to purchase a page as normal.

Strings of Fate
Buy the Strings of Fate to post up your own [Flavor Text] in the discord! It can be nearly anything you'd like, from mini local events in Sanctuary like weddings or fairs, or simpler things like a rainstorm at the Omphalos, or a migrating herd of elk in Switchback Forest. You can buy as many of these as you'd like, and even use them to string together progressing events over the day.

Original Character Slot
Your first original character is free, but any other original characters after your first will need to be purchased with points. This is to ensure a good balance between what people want to play as, and what they want to play against. To avoid serial apping and dropping, each purchase only works once. You cannot app an OC, then drop them a month later to get your points back and app another one. You may, however, switch out a character for free if they haven't yet had a roleplay with another player.

Villain Slot
This slot applies to major villains like Darth Vader rather than morally grey characters. Any character that would fall under the 'evil' category on a D&D alignment chart, for example. To avoid serial apping and dropping, each purchase only works once. You cannot app a villain, then drop them a month later to get your points back and app another one. You may, however, switch out a character for free if they haven't yet had a roleplay with another player.

OC Canon Relative Slot
This slot applies to characters who are OC relatives of canons. Brothers, sisters, kids, cousins. You may have a canon adopt your character as a child without this slot if it happens in roleplay. Everything else falls under this rule and needs to be bought with points. Please keep in mind that this does not necessarily guarantee that a canon's player will want to play with you. AU relatives, particularly kids, are a tricky topic for a lot of people.

Giant Slot
This is required for any character over 15 feet tall. Giants are popular, it seems, and there's limited space for giant stompy people everywhere. Characters with truly extreme sizes must be discussed. There is a limit to how much we can accommodate narratively. Characters that are temporarily large, like Ant Man from Marvel, or Steven Universe fusions do not require a purchase, as long as they spend most of their time below the threshold limit.

Reality Bender Slot
These kinds of characters can be fun! But just like giants, they need to be played responsibly, and having too many in one area can be overwhelming. This slot exists to ensure that there's a bit of a funnel for that. This counts as any character who can directly influence large swaths of the environment, characters, and similar-- characters that are good examples are Q from Star Trek, Discord from MLP, or Mr. Mxyzptlk from Superman. Characters whose reality shaping abilities are limited to their own personal realms do not require a purchase.
