~ World ~
On the continent of Landor lies four kingdoms.
The first and largest is Landor, a warm and holy kingdom that uses their prayers for magic and are able to control holy light. It is mostly filled with religious folk and priests who use their god's power, the power of the Saint in White, to heal or destroy. The land also seems to be eternally in summer or spring.
The second is the kingdom of Magicka. Smaller and weaker than Landor. This kingdom is cooler, seemingly always in winter or fall. This land is atheist and values intelligence of the world and universe. It's main authority figure is the academy that lies at it's center, who's headmistress acts as a queen.
The third is Malimore. Malimore is a very poor kingdom without much of a government. It is located in a red desert like area which was destroyed in the War of the Eclipse. It has faith in the demon Maim, a now dead demonic god who formerly upheld the abyss, the hell of the Landorian faith. People from this land have the abilities to manipulate death and conjure fire, lightening, and poison.
The fourth is the Great Woods. The Great Woods isn't a kingdom, but rather an area in between Landor and Magicka. The only way to get through without having to go through the Great Woods is through Malimore. Many people live in the woods as hermits or guardians, and eventually learned how to manipulate the forest to their wills.
~ History ~
The Magicians use the moon as a symbol of their country while the Landorians use the sun, the former gaining magic from the moon and the latter believing that is where their heaven is.
However, the Landorians believe that the moon is simply just a dead sun. They wanted the ownership of the moon as a holy object under the Landorian faith.
And so, the two kingdoms waged war for 5 long years. In the process, both sides lost thousands of lives, Malimore was destroyed, Landor was sent into near poverty, and Magicka was also almost destroyed. And so, the two nations signed a peace treaty - The Eclipse Treaty. It has been 9 years since the treaty was signed.
The tensions between the two kingdoms are still high, the two still being on the verge of war. Discrimination in both kingdoms are high as well, virtually every Magician holding hatred against every Landorian and vice versa.
There are two hate organizations: the Dark Moons for anti Landor and the Red Suns for anti Magicka. Both served as high ranking fighter groups in the War of the Eclipse and believed that their respective kingdoms could have won the war if they just fought a little longer or harder.
