It could be said that Jin Krowntail was a somewhat notable woman in Laurel Hill Springs. If it wasn’t for her multiple businesses and being the daughter of Ronin Krowntail, it was most certainly her smug charm and probably her criminal record. This however only made the business woman all the more flashy in nature, one could say she thought she was untouchable behind such swagger.
However, Jin’s perceived perfection was also riddled in flaws. For starters, despite having work to do she was still a bit irresponsible. On a typical day she would get up, sometimes late depending on if she had a long night.
In this instance Jin would stir awake, her eyes opening to red only to fade back to brown after a moment. She wriggled in the covers a bit as she stretched and felt the weight of a headache sink in. “Fuck..” she cursed, going to rub her eyes and take a breath in. All she could remember was lights and booze from the night before, some bumps of mineral sprinkled in there at one point or another.
But then her phone went off, a rap tune playing as her ringtone to which she felt around for it and sat up some to respond. “What?” She asked sounding crabby, but she immediately changed her attitude once she heard what it was and sat up fully, turning on speaker. “Shit, I’m sorry Dave. No…no that’s totally my fault. Yeah..something came up last night. But I’ll meet you at the shop in an hour,” Jin would express quickly, it being one of her top customers at the armory and she needed to make the sale.
To Jin’s surprise though she hadn’t been alone as someone had moved in the bed as well. It had been a brunette woman who was rather attractive, naked like Jin had been and she went to rub on Jin’s arm.
That’s right, Jin thought. Another night. Another chick. What was her name again? Stephanie? Samantha? No..oh Sofia! Man could that girl talk.
“Mmm Jinny. Last night was so incredible. That thing you did with your-“ The girl started to speak, however Jin would suddenly and rudely use her hand to cover Sofia’s mouth to shut her up. “Aye, out, yeah?” Jin told her, going to wave her off again to emphasize her point, and with this the brunette had immediately scowled, going to get off the bed with a scoff.
“And that’s why you can’t keep a woman. Asshole,” Sofia would stop to say amidst picking up her clothes, to which Jin would rather snicker and turn her attention back to the customer. “Sorry about that, I have this..cat-“ she tried to excuse, but suddenly she would feel the impact of a pillow against her head.
“Ugh! You’re unbelievable!” Sofia shouted, going to suck her teeth as she went to flick Jin off before heading out of the room. Jin would bare her teeth and toss the pillow back at nothing, “Yeah I am! I’m sure you’ll be back for more too!” Jin yelled, going to shake her head as she went to hang up the phone after.
That bitch is nuts. Damn..and she had a nice ass..
Anyway. Back to business. Jin had gotten up and went to hop in the shower, the smell of sweat, drugs and sex soon was washed away.
As soon as she got out she too swallowed down some pain meds, doing her normal routine of doing her hair and putting on a fresh fit. She went with a blazer, but she kept it open this time, matching pants and expensive shoes to match.
She would then do her poses in her mirror, making sure she looked as good as she wanted before she would head out. Her ride of choice was of course her pink convertible, which she ran her hand along the hood of before getting in.
This is the life.
With that, Jin brought the top of the car down, allowing her to feel the breeze as she swerved out of the parking lot. Needing caffeine, she made a pit stop at a coffee shop, going to then crank her music as she made her way to Beta Armory.
There would be a red light that she would come to all while she was rapping along to the song that played, going to turn to see a couple pretty ladies in the car over who were smiling her way. Jin instinctively put on a suave grin, going to lift her sunglasses up to give a nod as she playfully revved her engine.
The women responded by giggling away, but the one driving would do the same, revving the engine as they were also in a nicer car. “You want to go?” Jin would mouth out insinuating a race, using her hand to gesture as she revved her engine again. And getting nods from the women, as soon as the light turned green Jin took off.
At first she stayed within their speed just to flirt and mess with them, chuckling smugly to herself before she would step on the gas. Her ride would accelerate much faster now and she would go to blow them a kiss before leaving them in the distance. And then it would happen. While Jin was turned around she had taken her eyes off the road and suddenly she was at an intersection. She had immediately tried to brake, nearly missing a car that screeched to a halt, and then another as it went the opposite way.
Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit.
Jin was white-knuckling the wheel as she did her best to avoid traffic, however she would suddenly gasp as her car would go front first into a ditch and coffee would go flying. When Jin would come to fully realize what happened, she would look around before smashing her fists on the steering wheel. “God fucking dammit!” She growled, holding her burning face and whining a minute before she would step out of the car.
Almost mockingly she could have sworn she heard the woman’s car pass with them laughing in her face, therefore Jin knitted her brows and went to light up a cigarette.
The things I do for women.
When Jin would eventually arrive at the Armory, she used a ride share service as she had her car sent to the shop. By the time she got there, she was sweaty and looked a bit pissed, but when she saw her client she hurried up to him.
“Dave! Hey, my bad about getting here so late. I had a…fender bender. But it’s all good now,” Jin tried to say, shrugging, her shirt splashed with coffee as well. Dave, a more portly older man had looked at Jin with a bit of concern, however he shook hands with her and went to follow her to the back.
“I sure hope so. Thank you for helping me out again. I’ve been looking forward to these models for a while now,” he spoke, to which Jin smiled as they entered her office and she went to fetch the gun cases. “Of course man, anything for a loyal customer. I’ll tell you what, I’ll even throw in a little discount,” she expressed, going to show him the guns as she just wanted to get this deal done with.
By the time Jin counted out the money, she would wave Dave off before going to sigh and sprawl out on her chair. “Man, thank god for that..” she breathed, glad she made it work in time and so she finished with some more bookkeeping things and went to head out.
Next stop, headquarters.
Jin would make her way next to her main place of business, going to enter the doors before finding her secretary. “Agnes sweetheart, please tell me you brought me lunch,” Jin would say, using her hand to feign like she was famished. Her secretary, a woman in her thirties with a bun as tight as her attitude. She wore glasses and seemed like a scholarly type, but also she seemed cold and rather icey.
“Buffalo chicken wrap, extra hot, waffle fries, and a large coke,” the woman repeated almost monotonously, pointing to Jin’s office where a bag of fresh food sat. Jin was practically salivating with her tongue almost out like a dog, going to soon gesture her hands like she was worshipping Agnes. “Oh Agnes you godsend!” Jin chimed, going to come around for a hug only to be met with a lethal fist to her gut.
“Ugh…why do you do this to me?” Jin groaned out, the force of the blow causing her to keel over and hold her stomach. “Cause you know I hate being touched. You’re no exception. Do I have to remind you I’m not one of your little bimbos?” She asked crassly, going to tilt her glasses up.
“But you’re better than a bimbo..you know if you let me take you out-“ Jin would attempt stupidly again, earning a painful heel to the top of her foot which cause Jin to wince real big. “Oooh fucking mother of sweet hell!” Jin whined, feeling tears in the corners of her eyes as she tried to saunter off, with a warning look from her secretary.
“Got it…Super clear..thanks for the food..” Jin would stammer out, limping on her foot to go sit at her desk.
Beautiful..but very, very deadly.
Jin was quick to finally sit and scrounged through the bag to dig into her lunch, almost crying it was so good and she needed sustenance. Agnes would waltz in a while after to deliver some news. “You have a meeting at one, I also got word that patrol is ready for the mines. The man that was injured has made a full recovery,” she reported, to which Jin wiped her face and used her crumpled up wrapper to try and make a basket into the trash. “Oh that’s perfect. Tell them we’ll be heading out around five tonight,” Jin voiced, making the basket so she jumped up with a fist.
“Ooh yeah! You saw that right? If I wasn’t working here you know I’d be in leagues,” Jin spoke as a partial joke, though Agnes rolled her eyes and went to leave the room. “You’d be in the leagues when I’ve seen pigs fly..” was all she retorted, the icey comeback causing Jin to blink before she forced out a laugh. “Haha, very clever Agnes. Go send an email or something,” Jin called out, going to snort and shake her head before she got ready for the meeting.
Her meeting was with a real estate agent as Jin was looking for more space for business endeavors. It went well and they were set to tour places on Monday, but for now Jin had to go prepare. She left her work only to head back home and change, wearing a black bomber jacket and all black as it was better for night operations.
By that time, she had stopped at a bar to get some more food and a drink to tide her over, going to then make her way to the rail yard once her guys picked her up. This was typical of her day, the outward business stuff in the day, and the more lucrative shady stuff at night. All of it though, made good money.
Once they got the minerals loaded in the cart, Jin would take her usually amount and crush it up. She inspected the powder before she would put some on the back of her thumb to snort it off. The usual effects took place, her eyes turned crimson red, the black veins would present themselves and Jin would growl, finally lifting her head with an exhale as she staggered a bit back and forth.
It was better than any drug. Better than any sex.
She felt on top of the world and she held her arms out as she let it sink in. Her eyes flashed red once she felt good enough and giving her fists a good crack she would start to walk toward the van, but she stumbled some. “Boss? You good?” One of her men asked, Jin catching herself before she sniffled and nodded her head.
“Yeah…I’m fine..” Jin answered unsuredly, but she suddenly tripped and fell down on one knee. “Boss!!” A couple of the men called out, one daring to run over and tried to help her up.
“I said I’m fine!” Jin suddenly shouted, going to take a hold of the guy’s arm and in one movement she twisted it broken. The man in turn yelled in pain as he fell to the ground, Jin going to stand on her feet as she looked forward away from the others. And then she blinked, and when she did it was like she came back to, she looked at her hands just to make sure they were hers.
She then turned and saw the man crying her eyes widening as she realized what happened. Why did she do that? She didn’t know, but feeling uncertain and wanting to go she in turn kept walking to the van. “Get him in and let’s go,” was all she said, giving her hand one last look over as the black faded from her veins.
Though Jin felt guilty about what happened, it didn’t stop her from wanting to enjoy the rest of her night. The drugs were a big factor too as she felt energized, like she didn’t fully have to be present and she could do whatever she wanted. She didn’t fully feel. She didn’t fully want to. That was nightlife for the young demon.
At the bar she was on her fourth or so drink when she spotted a beauty sitting at her bar and in Jin-fashion, Jin would make her way over to her, putting her arm on the counter like a classic flirt as she started conversation. “You come here often? I don’t think I’ve seen you gorgeous..” Jin began, “can I buy you a drink?”
The woman seemed intrigued, smirking as she looked Jin up and down. “A couple times. I would love a drink, a Long Island,” she told her, and with that Jin grinned and went to order just that with her obvious confidence. Once she got it for her, the woman scooted over more to hear Jin better.
“Thank you, I’m guessing you’re here all the time?” She asked, tucking her black hair back behind her ear. Jin snickered at this and settled on the seat next to her as she sipped her bourbon. “You can say that. I’m Jin. What’s your name? If it’s not gorgeous that is..” Jin flirted, to which the girl laughed and shook her hand once offered.
“My name is Naomi. Nice to meet you Jin. Are you always this big of a flirt?” She asked, to which the yokai, chuckled and signaled for a refill. “Another bourbon over here please,” she requested with a laugh, going to choose to coyly shrug. “Only when I need to be. It caught your attention though didn’t it?” Jin asked, earning a pleased look from Naomi.
Hey, sometimes I get lucky…
Though one moment Jin was enjoying her conversation with Naomi, the next the two were in the bathroom making out. Jin was carrying her in her arms, the drugs taking over and her kisses her quite sloppy. Jin would stop for a second however to take a bump of the mineral, groaning slightly before she tucked it away.
“Fuck me..do it now..” Naomi urged, and Jin feeling that fervor had lifted her dress, using her strength to keep her hoisted as her fingers did the work. Naomi moaned in response and went to pull Jin’s hair rather harshly. Jin growled and only continued, not stopping for a second. It was hot, and both parties were fully into it, curses and moans filling the air.
Jin was again feeling herself coming in and out of her stupor, her pumps still keeping up but it was becoming clear Naomi liked it more rough. She was clawing at Jin’s back which made the demon grimace in pleasure, but even though things were getting heated, someone would of course walk in.
“Uh.. I’ll go outside..” the flustered woman had said before she quickly walked out, and with that Jin being Jin and would go back to what she was doing. By the time the two finished they walked outside for a smoke, Jin going to lean against the wall as she took a hit. “So you’re not one to be held down huh?” Naomi would ask, going to steal the cig from Jin’s mouth to smoke it.
Jin would shrug as a chuckle escaped her lips and she looked out at the night sky. “Nah..” she answered briefly, “it’s just business. This morning this chick called me unbelievable. Let’s go with that,” she joked. Naomi would giggle at this and move in to lean on Jin some.
“I don’t think you are..I think deep down there’s a lot that you want. Maybe you just haven’t found it yet,” she voiced, going to take Jin’s cheek to give it a soft kiss. Jin hearing this breathed in and out as she thought, simply shrugging to which Naomi snickered. “I think you’re a real sweetie Jin. Thank you for everything tonight,” she would say, and with that the girl would give Jin a smile before she would walk away into the night.
Jin heard her walking away, her words lingering in her ears now as she went and ashed her smoke. “At least someone does..” was all she muttered with a snort, going to zip up her jacket before she would make her drive back home.
What is it that I haven’t found yet?
