Giulia is the youngest and the only sister in the Giustiniani family. Her father died some years ago of a chest malady, and now her brother Gaetano is the head of the family, her Mother lives out in the country with one of her other brothers, while Giulia is new to Venice and living in Gaetano’s palazzo, about to be introduced to Society.
