Absintheur: makers and connoisseurs of absintheAdventurer: Discovering cities or new lands... usually by mechanical air ship, possibly something a little blimp-esq. Maybe it looks like an old plane, or a steamship, but with futuristic twists here or there.
Aerial Buccaneer:Artillery Balloonist unit able to quickly board enemy airships and enter areas unreachable by land, for spying and raiding missions.
Aeromeister:
Aeronautical naturalist and philanthropist:
Aerophonotologist: Researcher of randomly occurring sounds from the aether. Modern examples: Slow Down, The Hum, Bloop
Aesthete: Young man or woman of education and taste, with the money to live accordingly. A fin de siecle decadent; your role model may be Byron, Baudelaire, Swineburne, or Wilde - or their female counterparts. Sensible people like Gilbert and Sullivan make jokes about you, and respectable people find you scandalous, but you enjoy making life more beautiful.
Airship Designer: scheming interiors and/or exteriors of airships using blueprints and scale models.
Airship mechanic: works on the airships
Alchemist:Study of matter and combining and manipulating it, using specific and dangerous techniques. Possibly supernatural.
Alchemomaster: master of the alchemy trade unions
Anachroarcheologist: reverse engineering history to find out what has yet to be discovered, and what future discoveries lie in the past.

Daguerrotypist:photographic process, in which an image was produced on iodine-sensitized silver and developed in mercury vapour.Demimondaine: Your position in society is awkward. You aren't a respectable woman, but respectable men enjoy your company and seek you out. You don't exactly sell yourself, but you are willing to have your expenses paid for or accept costly gifts. Your personal charm is your greatest asset; your quick wits are nearly as important.

Ecologist:Engineer: Builder or specific pieces of machinery for others to have, including goggles, telescopes, eyepieces, leg extensions or replacements, mechanical arms of various durabilities and uses. Similar to a mechanic, but often more in depth and more specific to personal items and uses.
Electrospagyrist:] an art of the Asiatic Empire involving stimulation of the body's electrical nervous system using fine needles and electrical currents; derives from the native medical-alchemical practices found in that region. Paracelsus called the branch of alchemy concerned with making medicines "the spagyric art", hence the electrospagyric art.
Exoautomator: manage and maintains exo-suits
Exomaster: designs and tests exo-suits
Explorer: You spend your life venturing where no one has gone before. You aren't going to settle down; your goal is to make discoveries and return to report them. You may seek ancient ruins, new species of plant or animals, geographic information, or trade routes. Whatever your goal, you measure your success by new knowledge gained - and by whether you live to tell the tale.

Physician:Pirate: A swashbuckling buccaneer with maybe a mechanical leg, or instead of a hook for a hand, they have a telescope or a gun.
Power Engineer: Whether on a ship or airship, you're the man who keeps the engines running. The ship's officers may not treat you as an equal, but they depend on your grimy hands. The Scottish accent is optional, though the stereotype was already emerging in the Age of Steam.
Power Marine:
Professor: Educated, very knowledgeable and willing to share that knowledge.
Psychic Pharmacist Tracker: assists the Alchemomaster and others who deal with psychics and alchemy.

Ragamuffin: Ragamuffins have dirty jobs, and are in many ways characterized by the dirt or soot that's all over them and colors their clothes. They may not even have a job at all, and might be street urchins, beggars, and the like. Their clothes are often either patchwork or scavenged, as are their gadgets. Blue collar-esq hard workers; Odd jobs, anything you may need or wantRampart Aviator:
Reckoner: Belongs to one of the newest professions of the Steam Age: the men (and women) who create instructions for analytical engines. Work requires a sophisticated grasp of mathematical relationships, and willingness to get your hands dirty rearranging gears and circuits.
Rock Healer: a slang for an ecologist
Recon Officer: Clean up crew for disasters; all in all very helpful people, extremely resourceful and wise on all things survival. Master to Scrap Legionnaires.

Sailmaker: about sailshipsScientist: The role of scientist is new; the word wasn't coined until 1840. Scientists are knowledgeable in one or more branches of the study of nature; there is little specialization yet. Scientists are often amateurs supported by inherited wealth or doing research in their spare time. Studying power and energy to improve society or their own life, possibly working with sorcery or alchemy.

Shoveler: Shovels just about anything for coin... but real money is as an Oil fire and tallow pot filler.

• Stokers: entry level - a responsible job, holding a constant head of steam for running the Engine.
• Mechanics: 2nd level - oils the machine, replaces worn out parts, runs simple diagnostics.
• Setters: 3rd level - load a new set of Orders (a program), and may write simple sets of Orders themselves, providing quality control is performed prior to said orders being executed.
• Savants: A Savant's Certificate entitles him or her (the Guild is proud to say that it holds that women may have as good a grasp of Engineerisms as men, and has many members of the fairer sex) to become the foreman or woman of a Machine Room, and to prepare and execute any Orders that they choose, and may possess the Key to the Micro-Order cabinet of a Babbage Engine, which allows themselves to, in the words of Wordsworth:
“And now I see with Heart serene... The very Pulse of the Machine.”

Sportsman: You may be an amateur or a professional; in either case, athletic performance is the focus of your life. You spend considerable effort on keeping fit and practicing the sport(s) you enjoy, which could be anything such as: equestrian, acrobatics, hunting, riding, fencing, fist-a-cuffs, boating - anything from the era.
