  • The Plot

    They say the island breathes.

It waits beyond the veil of mist, unseen and unknown, until it chooses. A sudden fog rolls in, thick as silence, curling around the chosen like fingers through hair. When it clears, they are no longer where they were, but somewhere else entirely. Somewhere alive.

The island is ancient. It hungers for magic, drawing in supernatural beings only to feed on their power. It is not just predator. It is curious, too. Sometimes it summons ordinary humans, not for nourishment, but for amusement. Or perhaps for something more.

It is mercurial, ever-shifting. One day, the sun shines on golden sands. The next, a storm crashes through with howling winds and vanishing paths. It can twist its shape, move its rivers, and reroute its forests. What earns its favor one day may spark its fury the next.

A shimmering dome surrounds this strange world. It forms an invisible barrier that holds its guests in place. There is no escape, unless the island itself wills it.

Yet, it is not without grace. Sometimes, it offers gifts through puzzles, games, or trials. Winners may be rewarded or fortune may be found through cleverness or luck. The dice must fall where they may. The island demands fairness.

Sometimes it simply decides. What is given may be taken. What is lost may reappear.

The island does not explain. It only watches. And waits.
