🗺️ The Lands of Fenrath 🗺️

The lands of Fenrath are a wild and untamed stretch of primal beauty, where ancient forests meet towering peaks, and where the very air pulses with the essence of spirits.

The people who call these lands home are known as the Lupharin, a name derived from their ancestral connection to the wolf and the primal strength they carry within. These people, though often meek and friendly to their trusted allies, are fiercely protective of their lands and wary of outsiders, respecting tradition and the ancient ways that have kept their world balanced for centuries.

    The Forests of Thal’Rivern

At the heart of Fenrath lies the Thal’Rivern, the Forest of Shadows, where trees of immense size stretch toward the heavens, their twisted branches forming a canopy that blocks the sun.

The air is thick with the scent of pine, moss, and wildflowers, and the ground is covered in a soft, verdant carpet of ancient roots and ferns. The Lupharin believe these woods are sacred, the home of their spirits and the realm where the echoes of the A’luna (the Great Wolf Spirit) can be felt.

The A’luna, the Great Wolf Spirit, is a guardian of the forest and a protector of the Lupharin. Its presence is felt in every shadow, every whisper of the wind. It is said that the A’luna walks among the trees in the form of a massive, ethereal wolf, watching over the people and guiding them in times of need. Only the most spiritually attuned among the Lupharin can sense its presence, and it is considered an honor to receive the A’luna's guidance in times of great turmoil.

    The Windclaw Expanse

To the east of the forest stretches the Windclaw Expanse, a vast and windswept stretch of grasslands that seem to hum with the power of the earth. The tall grasses sway in the wind like a sea of emerald, and the air is filled with the sharp scent of wild herbs.

The Lupharin hold sacred the winds that blow across the Expanse, believing that the wind carries the voices of their ancestors, whispering ancient wisdom to those who listen.

At night, the howls of wolves rise from the Expanse, a chorus that fills the air with a haunting beauty. The Lupharin use this land for sacred rites, where they commune with the spirits and conduct rituals in honor of the wolves that walk beside them. This land is often a battleground for the Lupharin, where they prove their strength in hunting and survival, testing their connection to the wolves.

    The Ith’ara Pools

Far to the south lies the Ith’ara Pools, a hidden sanctuary known only to the most trusted members of the Lupharin. These crystal-clear springs, nestled deep within the forests, are said to be the very heart of Fenrath, a place where the veil between the mortal world and the spirit world is at its thinnest.

The waters of the Ith’ara Pools are believed to hold the power to heal both body and soul, and many of the Lupharin visit these sacred waters to seek clarity in times of uncertainty.

The pools glow with an otherworldly light, casting ripples that seem to shimmer with the reflections of the stars. It is here that the most powerful prophecies are revealed, and where the Lupharin come to receive the guidance of the A’luna. It is also said that those who bathe in the Ith’ara Pools may hear the wolves' whispers in their dreams, leading them toward their true path.

    The Elvesar Circle

In the heart of Fenrath, the Elvesar Circle stands as a symbol of unity and tradition. The Circle consists of ancient stone pillars arranged in a perfect circle, weathered by time but still standing strong.

This is where the Lupharin gather for their most sacred ceremonies, where the Rite of Ascension is held to choose their new leaders, and where they honor their connection to the A’luna.

It is also here that the most important decisions are made, as the Lupharin elders and the spiritually gifted come together to consult the spirits and seek guidance for their people. The Elvesar Circle is a place of great power, where the forces of nature, the spirits, and the will of the people converge in harmony.

    The Temple of I’thelan

Overlooking the Elvesar Circle stands the Temple of I’thelan, the spiritual heart of the Lupharin people. Carved from stone and covered in creeping vines, the temple is a place of quiet reflection and powerful rituals.

It is here that the High Priestess, known as the I’thelara, performs the most sacred rites, communing with the spirits of the land and guiding her people.

The Temple of I’thelan is a place of deep reverence, where the Lupharin seek counsel from their ancestors and the A’luna. The I’thelara is the voice of the spirit world, tasked with ensuring the survival of the Lupharin and the preservation of their ancient traditions. She alone can lead the people through times of great upheaval, interpreting the will of the spirits and guiding the Lupharin on their path.

    The Lupharin People

The Lupharin are a fierce and proud people, shaped by the land and the wolves that share their blood. They are skilled warriors, adept hunters, and revered spiritual leaders. Their connection to the wolves is deep and unbreakable, and they are as much part of the wild world as the creatures they share it with. Their society is built on honor, strength, and loyalty, with each member of the clan having a role to play in maintaining the balance between the physical and spiritual worlds.

The Lupharin are not quick to trust outsiders, but those who earn their respect are welcomed as family. Their traditions are sacred, and they will go to great lengths to protect their way of life, their lands, and their people. To challenge their customs or to threaten their unity is to invite the wrath of both the Lupharin and the spirits they revere.
