The World of Aetheris
Welcome to Aetheris, a world shaped by dragons.
Long before recorded history, the Seven Primordial Dragons walked the land. Their power carved mountains, filled oceans, split the skies, and breathed life into the world itself. When their age came to an end, the dragons entered a great slumber beneath seven sacred cities, leaving fragments of their magic behind in the bloodlines they once blessed.
Today, the continent of Veyrath is divided among the Seven Dragon Cities:
• Fire Dragon City
• Lightning Dragon City
• Earth Dragon City
• Sea Dragon City
• Storm Dragon City
• Shadow Dragon City
• Light Dragon City
Each city guards a sleeping Primordial Dragon beneath its foundations and maintains its own Dragon Academy, where future guardians, mages, scholars, priests, and leaders are trained.
Magic flows through ancient bloodlines descended from those first blessings. Some wield fire. Others command storms, shape shadows, heal wounds, create illusions, or raise powerful barriers. Bloodline gifts are respected, feared, and sometimes fought over.
For centuries, a powerful religious order has worked to keep the dragons asleep. Every fifty years, seven children are chosen as Dragon Vessels, carrying fragments of draconic power within them. Most citizens view this as a sacred honor. Few understand the true purpose of the ritual.
Yet beneath the peace, tensions grow.
Ancient prophecies whisper of a child blessed by both Fire and Lightning—a child destined to awaken the Seven Primordial Dragons and usher in a new age. Some believe such a future would save the world. Others believe it would destroy everything humanity has built.
The truth has been buried for generations.
Secrets hide within noble families, governments, academies, and even the religious order itself. Hidden factions move in the shadows. Old rivalries simmer. Ancient powers stir beneath the earth.
This group exists as a collaborative worldbuilding and roleplay space set within Aetheris. Create characters, noble houses, bloodlines, creatures, traditions, festivals, legends, academy clubs, political factions, and stories that help bring this world to life.
