Your enjoying your time at a resturant, maybe at a park or ,on a train your on an electronic device (anything works) and suddenly your screen changes red, you can't turn it off its happening to everyone, a familiar logo appeared on the screen "THIS IS AN URGENT MESSAGE FROM THE SCP FOUNDATION" it would state in a robotic voice, If they're coming out of hiding we must be doomed. After the introduction and telling the people who they are "Almost All foundation sites have fallen" You dropped you electronic or at least closed it but it kept playing giving Dirrections to all remianing foundation sites you have work to do now...
You return home as quickly as possible, This could quickly turn into a XK senario if something didn't happen. You return to your former job ready to do something, but its others, like you who were fired or left for there own reasons all returning. You meet the now hauntingly serious Dr.Bright, he gives you a squad and sends you over to to them, you've worked there before but you've never even met these people before to think you came from the same site. You gear up and head out to a house you voted on holding up waiting for trouble to come near. There is a Full Hummer downstairs if the squad would like to travel to the problem itself

Magic is rare. Some of the players might have it. There may be sages or other magical figures that could be sought out for tutelage.
Far future, perhaps galactic teleporters and fast terraforming
More combat than not. The setting may be at war, and the characters will likely get involved whether or not they seek it out.
Some romance is possible, but the overall plot is more important.
