Ugh, being perceived!
Long time on and off again role player. The place I used to frequent is reaching the end of its life. After not role playing anywhere else for years, I’m out looking again. I’ve been on a few websites, just trying to find the right culture and partners.
I have a particular character running through my head and a muse that is refusing to quit on me. I’m known to drive a story. I prefer mutual writing but I’m always down for a receptive partner who wants me to drive the narrative. I typically don’t use forms or posts, as that’s new to me but I have tons of experience using chat clients.
My post style is adaptive, I tend to favor a paragraph minimum. I prefer role plays where both partners are comfortable to post the length they feel works for the scene. Most of my prompts have some wider theme or idea behind them. I like to make heavy usage of symbols and call backs throughout a story. I’d like to think of myself as a ‘constantly improving’ writer. My top goal/priority is keep my partner engaged and entertained in the play, preferring to stay in character as much as possible and work most things out In character. (Within reason of course!)
Main character is something of a wolfman. Not really a furry, the whole wolf thing is allegory and metaphor but also... yea a wolfman. You'd get it if you'd played!
These things are pretty bad and this was just as awkward to write as it was likely to read. I thank you for indulging in my HR approved Greeting and now I’ll hide in the back the room with the other misfits.

Call backs are like my favourite thing in long term stories, especially when the meanings of things change, and it's like.. whoa.. there was growth (or corruption, etc.) ! and it's super satisfying.

No frets, no worries. The limelight isn't for everyone, but I personally think you did a splendiferous introductory post. And while forums and inbox posts may not be for everyone, RPR has an excellent method for linking your character pages to your preferred chat clients.
I play on Furcadia now and again so having a link to my character bio helps others outside and inside of the community know what I have to offer. The sky's the limit in character creation as well! It's hands down my favorite aspect of RPR.
Anyway, there are a lot of diverse writers here so hopefully, you'll be able to find what you seek. Most importantly, I hope you enjoy it here.
