What is this? What does it mean? How do I disable it?

New feature. I don't think it appears to others unless you've entered something into it. Allows you to, well... post your current status (like if you're accepting new RPs or not, if you're gonna be delayed from responding for some reason, etc), which will appear on your profile and come up once on the news feeds of friends who are "watching" you. If you change it, the new one replaces the old one.

Yes, no one will see it on your profile unless you make use of it. Just ignore it if it's not useful to you.

I somehow miss the news posts I have my settings so as I should get emails, but I don't get any. Is there a setting to see news posts on my wall? I've looked but honestly I've..more than likely missed it.

It was just a bit weird when I'd go to my own profile and it'd like..animate at me or something, and I had no idea what was going on.

We don't generally do emails about news posts, but you can adjust what you see on your homepage notifications here: https://www.rprepository.com/settings/personalnotifications

That's what I've been looking for! But, I've always looked for it in account settings, and stupidly never looked in the obvious spot.
