"Well...I thought everyone was here. Maybe there's someone else in the shared house? Ah...hello!" Lucy hollered outside of the door. There was no reply- no sound other then Alwina's steps as she walked around the lower floor. Lucinda huffed, her brows furrowing. "Let us out please. We are are not going to be stuck here. This house is pretty and all but...my bucket list!" Tucking her strands of hair behind her ear Lucinda grabbed hold of the doorknob, readjusting her stance. "Okay Kiran. Grab it too...we will pull it together on three okay?" Lifting up her braced leg- she rested it against the wall and readied herself to pull. "Okay...1...2...-"

Alwina, while looking around, may find that the kitchen had a few windows. These could have been easily opened if she wished, though because of her height it may have been hard to shimmy herself out of them. Upstairs each bedroom did have at least a window or two within...though the drop from the second floor may be rather uncomfortable. There was even a door. It may not be noticeable at first, but there was actually another door in the kitchen. It was hidden behind the dining table, and blended in perfectly with the fully glassed wall- being made completely of glass itself. Strangely there was a door knob from the outside...but not inside. Perhaps more peculiar was that there was a dying rose...just at the foot of the door under the dining table. It wasn't completely noticeable at first...but it is possible Alwina may have spotted it pressed against the door.

"3!" At her count Lucinda would begin to pull. Now, she wasn't all that strong to begin with, but she gave it all as she tugged at the doorknob with all her might. "OPEN!"The door wouldn't so much as budge...until all at once-

BOOM!

The front door swung open, and so did the glassdoor in the kitchen. As if a strong wind had opened them they both flew open. Lucinda stumbled on her feet, just barely catching herself before falling. "Oh...oh! look at that~." Tired arms rose in victory. "Yaaay...."
Kiran (played by Leighoflight)

Grabbing hold of the door handle with Lucy he’d pull as hard as he could. It wasn’t even moving an inch and he considered himself relatively strong. When the doors swung open Kiran fell backwards and onto the floor from the force he had been exerting on the door coming back at him. Looking up at Lucy claiming victory, he winced as he stood up again.

Digging around in his hoodie pocket he pulled out a leatherman tool and opened up the knife, locking it into place. Poking his head out of the front door to have a look, knife at the ready. If it was another person joining them hopefully he’d be able to talk his way out of looking like a complete creep. If it was a spirit or other such then he’d just have to wing it. Doors didn’t just lock and open when they felt like it.

“Did the reviews of this place were in now suggest anything of the supernatural sort….?"
Alwina Coldwill (played by Thatnerdychick)

Alwina bolted back towards them when the door popped open, a concerned look in her eyes. "I'm with Kiran on that one. Something is up with this place." she said with narrow eyes. "keep that door propped open." she said as she stepped outside to look at the side of the door where the mechanism to hold it in place would be, trying to figure out what could have caused it to get so jammed up like that. "And while we're at it, like I suggested we should call the property owner. That could have been very very bad." she said with no small amount of seriousness in her tone of voice.

The shiny metal of the knife immediatly caught Lucy's gaze . Her arms fell down infront of her protecitvely out of instinct, and quietly she watched as Kiran and Alwina whooshed past to go outside. For one, Lucinda didn't really believe in ghosts. Secondly, the door opening was a joyful thing! Why were her companions so serious?

The only thing there to greet them outside were the many warm toned leaves on the ground. Not even an animal surrounded their cozy cabin. A light breeze danced across the trio as if welcoming them to the cool outdoors. Lucinda stepped out finally, standing beside the door to keep it open. "Supernatural? Like ghosts and stuff?" She had to bite back her chuckle. "Come on guys. Magic and stuff isn't real. Neither are ghosts. It was just...strong wind maybe? We probably just missed a huge breeze. There isn't even anyone around?" Gesturing around with her hands, the girl stepped forward- crunching the leaves under her feet.

"Besides...bucket list. It may be morning but we don't have all day if we want to get a pumpkin and explore this 'haunted' house." With that she looked left and right and began walking down the pathway that soon vanished away into nothing but leaves. The woman was on a mission- seemingly unconcerned about the very strange occurence that happened.

(If I do too much in a post let me know and I can slow down!^^ )
Kiran (played by Leighoflight)

Kiran kept the door open with his foot as Alwina asked, still standing there as if ready to get into a fight or run off in a split second. “Might be worth calling them incase the door is broken or something…” he agreed with the mention of calling the propter owner.

He stepped aside to let Lucy exit the house and followed her afterwards, closing the door and locking it then opening it again just to check. There was nothing wrong with the lock or the door at the moment which only further led him to be suspicious.

“Come on guys. Magic and stuff isn’t real.”

To this comment he looked at Lucy then over to Alwina and said nothing, it was obvious to him at least that he wasn’t the only mage in the trio but he remained silent. “Yeah…of course…lets go get those pumpkins…” Kiran was hot on her heels and would follow behind Lucy to wherever they were going. Knife tool folded away and put back into his pocket.

(It’s not too long! I’m cool)
Alwina Coldwill (played by Thatnerdychick)

Alwina returned that look, then looked at Lucinda. "Lucy... can I call you Lucy? I work at night in a rather large cemetery as security and groundskeeper.. Ghosts are a thing. Maybe not in the conventional sense that TV might lead you to think, but uh, they're quite real." she said calmly. She pulled out her phone and was already ringing up the building manager. (I leave lucinda to tell us what they say if the call even connects.) She kept her hand firmly on her hip, waiting to see about some answers. The fact this had happened was a huge concern. What if there had been a fire?!

"Pumpkins pumpkins~." Lucinda hummed happily, looking left and right to try and spot the plump orange figures. By this point she wasn't all that far from the cabin, still being within earshot of Alwina and her comments.

The phone would eventually get to the Landlord's line- a sweet sounding woman's voice could be heard. "Hello. I am sorry I am not at my phone right now. Please leave me a message and I will get back to you as soon as possible." Beep.

"Lucy is fine, sure. Regarding the ghosts...I mean I've never seen one so it's hard to believe myself but emm..." She rubbed her head, trying to organize her words. Her brace reflecting the streams of light coming through the trees. "I can only focus on what's real, ya know? Pain, anxiety...happiness too. And you know what makes me happy?" Smiling she held her hand out. "That we did get out safe. I think the doors are sticky...lots of sap from the trees maybe? Luckily you two were here to help me. I probably would have panicked on my own." Laughing lightly she peaked back to Kiran, letting her hand fall to her side. "I don't think too much of it but...we can stay around and investigate if you both want? If it'll ease the two of you."
Kiran (played by Leighoflight)

Kiran was concerned, if supernatural nonsense was going to go down he didn’t need to be on an escort quest when it all hit the fan. Still following Lucy he turned to see where Alwina was, on the phone trying to get a hold of the property owner.

Looking back to Lucy as she spoke, the worry on his face didn’t go away, should he tell her? but then that would give away that even in the magical circles his practice wasn’t exactly kosher. Alwina didn’t look the particularly law abiding type, but then again, if anyone had met his friends brother they wouldn’t believe him to be able to cast radiant magic with the way he conducted himself.

This train of thought distracted him from what Lucy was saying and he blinked repeatedly to refocus himself. “Lets go find those pumpkins then yeah? You coming?” he called over to Alwina.
Alwina Coldwill (played by Thatnerdychick)

"yeah yeah. I'm coming." she said as she put the phone back in her pocket and followed the both of them. Not much else she could do really, that was her option. still, she didn't like it, not at all. "how far away is it lucy?" alwina said as she caught up to the pair, hands resting in the pockets of her jacket idly as they made their way to find some pumpkins to carve up. hopefully it was just a sticky door and not something worse, hopefully. otherwise though, she stayed quiet and kept on walkin.

The tall trees around them continously rained leaves of red, yellow and orange. Cool wind danced around the trio as they wondered about. The air was clear and clean- fresh and calming is how Lucy would have described it. As they made their way up the light trail, the beautifully sculpted mountains could be seen on the horizon- their sharp peaks piercing the blue yet cloudy sky. There was a great lake not too far off from them, it's still waters etching the scene as if it were a photograph. Lucy purposefully ventured up the trail to try and get a better vantage point for pumpkins. Alas they were taking awhile to find...and while her enthusiasm was tip top, she sensed the case wasn't the same for her companions...How was she to make this fun for them? As she wondered, a sharp yet familiar voice spoke to herself.

"They'll get mighty bored of this you know..." Spoke the voice within Lucinda's mind. Perhaps it was her inner doubt, though Lucy referred to the voice as her "other self". It had a means of refuting Lucy's attempts at friendship. All of them. It fought to be the sole friend- A friend that always said the wrong thing. Lucinda disliked the voice, even now.

"Hey Kiran?" Peaking over to the red headed man, she pointed to her own forearm, a bright smile on her gave as always. "What does your tattoo mean? I've heard they all come with cool stories. Same with you Alwina- I don't recognize yours either." Therefore she ignored the voice, and prompted to try and learn about the two interesting people beside her.
Kiran (played by Leighoflight)

The scenery was beautiful he had to admit. Regardless of the possible supernatural weirdness happening Kiran would enjoy this walk through the woods. The trees, the sky, the lake all made for a picturesque setting which was one of the reasons he came up here and get away from the city. Occasionally he’d take in a deep breath of fresh air just for the sake of it.

He did however question this pumpkin hunt, were wild pumpkins even a thing? Would they not have been better off driving down to one of the farms or the local supermarket. “Is there a patch nearby that you know of? I don’t think pumpkins are wild grown…”

When asked about his tattoos he paused and smiled sheepishly “Umm..I wouldn’t exactly say they are cool. Part of a family tradition. Got the first one at nine….teen…” clearing his throat, narrowly dodging the blurting out of underage tattooing practices. “Yeah, nineteen…My twin sister has different ones…” he had to think really hard for a moment. “We share maybe…four…no..five...yeah..five…” He looked behind him to Alwina to prevent himself mumbling on and on “What about you?” He was also a bit curious.
Alwina Coldwill (played by Thatnerdychick)

"Oh, the tattoos? They're um. They're just designs I found interesting." that was a lie. "I liked them so I had them tattooed on my body is all." she kept on walking. "I'm with Kiran on this one. Is there a pumpkin patch nearby?" she inquired, backing up the man on the question as the idea of just finding a random pumpkin seemed at best very unlikely. "I mean, I could always run back and get the van so we can go drive to one if that'd be a better shot at finding some to carve up. Not much trouble or anything." she offered.
Sandra Sherman (played by randomentity777)

Sandra was also out on a walk, a jacket pulled over her casual shirt and jeans to keep her warm in the cold autumn. Hearing some voices up ahead, she spots Alwina and the rest of her group. "Oh, hello there." She smiles. "It's a nice day, isn't it? I'm Sandra."

Lucinda curiously peered out between both Kiran and Alwina. For one it was a family tradition, the other it was a matter of liking them. How cool~. Lucy decided after all this she would get that french fry tattoo...AND make her own family tradition down the line! Naturally she would have wanted to inquire deeper about this but they both, reasonably so, questioned this pumpkin hunt of hers. Immediately her cheeks burned just as bright as the leaves around them and she turned forward. Perhaps pretending to know what she was doing would be convincing enough...? "Well...erm...I've never actually went pumpkin hunting before. I figured they'd be out and about like flowers..." Timidly she twirled her rouge-brown hair in her fingers. Lucinda was quite sheltered growing up a plethora of reasons...but now that she was older and more able to live on her own, she was setting out- wishing to explore the wonders of life in her own way! Practical or not.

Hearing the unfamiliar voice her bright hues looked up to look at Sandra. "Oh, hi there! We're looking for a pumpkin patch." Lucinda offered a kind smile. "We might go drive to a local shop as Alwina mentioned., it'd probably be better to find pumpkins that way wouldn't it?" Lucy sheepishly said, admitting her defeat to the thought of a wild pumpkin patch hunt. "Let's go back to the van then. Hmm..." Lucinda shuffled closer to her two companions. "Can Sandra come with us too?"
Kiran (played by Leighoflight)

Kiran spotted the awkward tone in Alwina about her own tattoos simply because he was in the same boat of trying to cover up the actual reason for them. Thankfully the conversation had come off that and onto the pumpkin situation. Agreeing with Alwina’s plan to go to the shop for a pumpkin “If you really want to Lucy we can get the pumpkins and I’ll hide them in the woods for you to find? The giant pumpkins for carving are man made…any wild pumpkins would be much smaller and tricky to carve anyway..”

Turning back in the direction of the cabin to return to the van Kiran stopped when a stranger arrived, he gave her a quick up and down look before nodding “Afternoon.” Attention turned behind him to Lucy who had caught up, blinking at her comment “Well…I don’t see why not but she may be doing her own thing.” Sandra could be out on a hike or have appointments or general life to attend to like most people.
The idea of randomly inviting a stranger to go to the supermarket for pumpkins confused Kiran to no end. This Lucy was far more trusting of strangers than he was which he found jarring. Regardless if this new lady came with them or not he’d head back for the van.
Sandra Sherman (played by randomentity777)

"Well, if you're looking for pumpkins, I might be able to help." Sandra replied. "I saw a fairly medium sized patch not far from here. I can show you guys how to get there if you want."
Alwina Coldwill (played by Thatnerdychick)

Was just about to turn around and run back to get her van. "oh.. right then." she said as she stopped and rejoined the group. "Lead on I guess?" she said with a shrug as she planted her hands back into her pockets and waited to follow. though she'd pull Kiran aside slightly to whisper. "You 're picking up on the weird vibes to right? Something is up.. I can feel eyes on my back and they aren't human." she put on a subtle display of power as a second iris and pupil formed in her left eye for a moment before disappearing. "when we get back.. I'm gonna grab some tools from my van Kiran... keep them busy while I set up." she would then step away.
Sandra Sherman (played by randomentity777)

"It's just down here, and through these bushes, then into a clearing that eventually leads out to a hiking trail." Sandra indicates for the group to follow her, leading them down the path she described. "Might take a while though, the bushes are very dense, and I'm not exactly lithe." She chuckled slightly.

"You'll hide them for me?" The idea alone brought a wide grin to the girl's face as she began to trot along behind Kiran. The thought was sweet. "That can be a new fall activity in itself couldn't it? Kiran let's make it an actual event~." Lucy smiled, clapping her hands together lightly. "Let's name it after Alwina's van...new trend-"

"You're being annoying. Does anyone match your energy?" There was the voice again- harsh and abruptly silencing Lucinda. Her cheeks reddened as if someone physically around her had said it, and her flustered gaze fell to her feet. "Or we can just get pumpkins too..." She said quietly as if to correct her earlier energy. Lucinda was rather focused on the voice speaking to her, her all to familiar 'friend', that Lucy hadn't noticed Alwina or Kiran move off to the side for a moment. Instead what eventually broke her out of her small funk was Sandra's comment. The mysterious pumpkin patch was indeed close by.

Right. Everyone will have more fun once they find the pumpkins right? Yes! Snapping herself back into her joyful self Lucinda shuffled beside Sandra. "You saw them close by. I knew they could be around here- the area just screams fall to me anyhow." The hopeful girl was now looking to Sandra as if the pregnant woman held her only reason to hope. "Well let's go on ahead shall we? Kiran and Alwina- come come." Lucinda would lead the way based on Sandra's direction. Due to her focus she hadn't noticed right away that Alwina wasn't following- for infact the mysterious shorter woman had gone back.

Though the group hadn't ventured all that far, Alwina may notice the feeling of "stares" was ever more intense. Rather then having three bodies to focus on...all and any mysterious eyes were drawn solely on her lone figure. No sounds were made but the sound of the wind which would batter against her clothing- lightly toying with her hair that could be seen. Eventually a single breeze would blow past carrying the tiniest voice that sounded like a woman's.

"𝔾𝕠 𝕓𝕒𝕔𝕜. ℙ𝕝𝕒𝕪 𝕞𝕪 𝕘𝕒𝕞𝕖."

The voice seemed to come from the left side, though nothing was immediately noticeable.

As for Lucinda who trotted ahead to lead the group towards this pumpkin patch with Sandra's guidance they'd eventually stumble upon it. It was, perhaps awkwardly, placed in an open clearing of the forest. It didn't really fit the surrounding vegetation around it- it was almost as if someone had picked it up and dropped it there-. Most of the pumpkins were bright orange- ready to be picked just for them. It was a dream come true for Lucy who managed to squeeze through a few trees to see the patch all the more clearly.

"Wow...it's here. I wasn't expecting it to look so perfect . Lucky us huh Kiran?" Her brace squeaked but she eventually bent down beside a pumpkin to wipe the dirt off the top.
Sandra Sherman (played by randomentity777)

"Well, I'm happy that I was able to help you guys out." Sandra smiled cheerfully. "Although something's kinda bugging me. Did anyone else hear what sounded like a voice in the wind or was I imagining it?"
