The Verdant Wilds is a small island resting among a gray, coldwater sea. It gains its namesake from being mostly forest, with a single tall mountain at its northern end, and a massive ancient tree at its center which can be seen from every part of the island.
Though pockets of civilization do exist, most of the island is untamed wilderness, and full of hidden wonders for adventurous spirits.
This is a group for people seeking high-magic fantasy settings, but with a greater focus on travel and survival, and less on combat or war. Dice may be used occasionally, but only in threads started by the Founder (myself) intended for questing, and the potential use of dice will be stated in OOC brackets at the beginning of the thread.
We welcome new and pre-existing characters alike, so long as they fit, or can be re-tooled to fit, a PG-13 low-tech fantasy setting. Please feel free to join us.

Magic is very common. Magic-tech, grand floating islands, forests that sing, magical creatures may be an every-day occurrence.
Renaissance
A peaceful setting, but with a chance for small fights and struggles to break out on a very small scale.
No romance at all will be included in this plot, period.
Details: Occasional dice use, adjustable length posts, long-term RP partner preferred. Will be played with a large group of players.
