Hello everyone! I'm recently returning to the world of Roleplay, so forgive me if this is a bit rough. Often times I RP on my phone, which admittedly does make it a little harder for the longer posts. I also RP on Discord, Chatango (not as much, the program isn't very good about notifications), through email, forums, Furcadia, and Google Docs.
As far as writing, I prefer 3rd person past tense. It reads better in my opinion. Nothing against those who prefer 1st person or present tense, it just isn't my cup of tea. There are two main formats I use when writing to differentiate between action and speech:
Example 1: ::She toyed with the glass of wine, staring off into space:: I don't know, maybe I'm wrong.
Example 2: She toyed with the glass of wine, staring off into space. "I don't know, maybe I'm wrong."
I am open to creating characters on the fly, although I do have a couple ready to go that can also be adjusted to different settings and story lines. I will always play my main character as a female however, and prefer to play opposite male main characters. However a good story isn't built with just two people, we don't live in vacuums, so I also play side characters, and expect you to do the same.
I prefer either medieval fantasy or sci-fi settings. Modern characters or settings can be fun when someone is thrown into a strange situation or setting. For instance, a modern character thrown into either a medieval fantasy or sci-fi setting, or vice versa.
