IstoElggur

Hey there!

A little about my experience. I have been roleplaying for over 20 years. I have been on many different forum boards and also different games with text RP involved. I'm very open to all types of RP themes. Dark, light, romance, etc. Yes I do eRP as well, but it has to be within context of the story, not revolving around it.

I mainly para-rp. I find the more description and more scenery involved allows the players to really open up their imagination and I also find it more mentally stimulating and fun. So I hope you para-rp too.

I do not do canon RP. Why use something that was already created when the point of RP is to create your own world? If you're looking for a witcher themed or Inyuasha theme RP. Not you guys unfortunately. I love all original crafted content.

With that being said. I don't mind using the settings of those worlds and changing them up a bit. This can make it easier on both RPers to envision their surroundings.

The new style of RPing that I have encountered is set in stone story lines or plots. To me this is rather lazy. Why have a synopsis of an RP with how you know it ends and how you are only directed one way for the story. Example. (Our characters meet because my father hired your character to protect me, but I get captured and you have to save me and return me home. When you return me home we fall in love and get married... and end scene). I find this leaves no room for the world and story to be built between role players. This doesn't leave a lot of room for creativity in my opinion or further continuation of plots. If this is the type of RP you are looking for unfortunately I'm not the person for you. I rather more experienced and in depth RPing.

Rules
Some people have rules others don't. I find them important to just help the quality of RP and to determine if we are a good match or not.

1. Consent is key. If you are worried about something, just ask. I'm usually ok with 90% of the things out there.
2. Mulit-Para RP. Please don't give me 5 to 7 sentences to work with. Kills the imagination if I can't envision what you are trying to do.
3. Literacy is a must. We all make errors here and there. Yet if you continuously don't capitalize your I's or have massive run on sentences, I will have a hard time reading your post and not put the effort in.
4. Drive the plot. RPs are not one sided. If I find I'm the only one helping the narration of the story or to push the plot forward, I will lose interest VERY fast. With that being said...
5. DON'T RUSH THE PLOT. Take time to enjoy what is happening then. No need to rush from one location to the next within a few posts, let it come natural and when both RPers are ready to move forward.
6. God-Moding. Don't dictate what my character does. This is the same for yours for me. Please don't assume that my character is going to just do what you say in your post. You want my character to sit down, well use words like - Attempts to make Sorik sit, or leaves room for Sorik to sit.
7. Don't mix OOC with IC. Sometimes I can be very angry and hostile IC. That's not me. Well it's me, but playing the part. If my character is mad at your character, don't think I'm mad at you.
8. No pre-designed scenarios like I described above. They show no imagination or attempt to world build and just lazy.
9. Please read all this before contacting me for RP. I love and cherish RPing. I'm just picky when it comes to quality.

A little about me! I'm a rather simple guy. I love video games, staying fit and hanging out with friends. I live in the states, Ohio. So I will always be on EST time.

I'm very open to messages and always looking to RP! So Please message away!
