JT_the_Ninja

Name: JT the Ninja
Occupation: Ninja (5th degree black belt, ITF Tang Soo Do)
Species: Human, last time I checked.
Nationality: American
Handedness: Left-handed master race
Faith: Christian

Hobbies: Reading (mostly sci-fi and fantasy), writing (poetry, sometimes fiction), video games (fighting and retro), roleplaying, doodling around on a sketchpad.

Roleplaying experience: Chat room rp on AOL from 2003–2004; Furcadia roleplay from 2004–2007, returned from hiatus 2015; Intermittent forum-based roleplay all the while, 30+ years of living in my own world anyway.

Important Notes for RP:
  1. The character is not the player, and the player is not the character. This is Rule Number One, and the most important thing to remember, especially when in a roleplay with me. The character may have a very different outlook than the player, and the character may do things the player would not. Also, how my character feels and acts toward one of your characters has absolutely no bearing on how I would act or feel towards you, the player.

None of my characters are self-inserts or personas. I don't see any of them as representing me. They are all just character ideas I came up with which I thought would be fun to write about. Of course I do care about my creations, but please remember that I am not my character.
  2. Things that happen out-of-character should never affect what happens in-character, and vice versa. Just because our characters are enemies doesn't mean I see you, the player, as an enemy. And just because we may be good friends in real life, my character will not automatically see your character that way. If we have a disagreement or argument out-of-character, it should not affect what happens between our characters, because they have no idea that fight even happened. Likewise, if one of my characters should happen to offend your character, it should not be taken as an offense toward you, the player.
  3. Communication is crucial. If I have a question about your post, or about your character, or about the scene, I will absolutely ask you for clarification. Please do the same to me if you have a question. I want to know as best I can what my character would be able to see, sense, or intuit within a scene, and if there's any ambiguity (or if I'm just being dense), I'm going to ask so that I know for sure what my character would do next. Likewise, while I will make every effort to be clear in my posts, please do ask me if there is anything unclear to you.

Rave Reviews

With a dry sense of humor and "healthy appreciation" of puns, JT will always keep you amused, and he's a brilliant writer to boot. Each character in his arsenal is utterly unique and fun to play with. - Ilmarinen
Sonen is an amazing character. Not only is he unique in his personality and the way the character behaves and thinks, but he comes from a unique land with a unique language! The depth of work in this character is obvious, and playing with him is always a delight! - CelestinaGrey
