Introduction
Hello, I'm Novatrix. I am a laid back kinda girl that loves to...Well I love to write. I'm mostly a sci-fi fan. I love a lot of Non-Canon Character Play. I'm in my thirties with a full-time job. I will make sure to post everyday. Atleast Twice a day with my days off posting as much as possible. I'm not too big on most cliches. I'm ok on romance...but I don't let it run the rp unless its actually a romance. I love getting into the character's head whether they are my own characters or yours. I hope to have long term rps as well.
1. Only Play In Third Person. I simply just like that POV better.
2. I don't like playing in script form*And will not do it.
3. I only RP with the age-appropriate players. Characters themselves Gotta be at least 20+
4. I will not rp with a character that is played by Anons/anonymously, No matter how good a character might be. It makes me think you are hiding something that can later get me in some serious trouble. This kinda ties into #3. However, if you can prove you are 18 like posting in an adults-only thread then I may consider it. Sometimes I may search out characters, but, later realize that they are anons. The situation still stands. Prove you're age, please.
5. I love brainstorming! There is a way to brainstorm without divulging all the secrets/details of what Y/C is going to do. I want some mystery for me to read later. With that said...
6. Character thoughts! I read books, comics, and manga. What keeps me interested? To hear the inner workings of a character! Jake didn't like their tone, it was as if the person was begging him to hurt them! Jessie was interested but she wasn't going to just jump in without asking questions. Jason was extremely delighted but didn't dare show it. Johnny worried deeply as to why all their names started with frickin J! I don't want to have to wait for a few posts in to hear these inner workings. I'm not that kind of RPer. If you are then that's fine but unfortunately for both of us, I'm impatient. These inner workings don't have to be that intense above. I just love to read these things. If I don't get to read them then I just feel like I'm people-watching, and though that is fun on its own. It's not when it comes to writing. At least not for me.
7. I Love Surprises! Unless stated specifically there is really no need to ask me about doing anything. If we are starting our rp in a prison? Then unknowingly start a riot! I think the only time we may have to ask each other anything is if it deals with something that our character is going to be physically affected by. Like "Can my M/C cut Y/C's leg off?" Or maybe it's the setting. Does the prison have something that will prevent M/C from doing X or Y? Maybe even some long-term things. I think Jessie should come down with an illness at some point. It will push Jake to take care of her
8. I will drop an rp if the average post length starts to dwindle and continues to stay below a paragraph for too long. How long is too long you ask? Here is an example. Maybe 2 pages? Each page holds 15 posts in total so roughly and depending on where it starts, we will collectively have close to at least 30 or so posts. I'm not going to be really counting. But I went over some rps that I did in the past and it seems that this is when I actually notice the short posts. Now there is obviously some gray areas. If we are both having fun with it, I may not notice much. But if I'm also not given enough to work within my own post (leaving me practically scratching the bottom of the barrel for something to throw together) I will be forced to stop the rp.
9. I will not "hold your hand" and "Do all of the work."You have to contribute to the story as well. I don't want to be writing by myself. You simply/only responding to everything my character says and does is not called contributing. What is your character's past? What is your character doing here? Is there someone out to get them? Are they hiding from people? My character isn't the only story being told here. If I really wanted you to only follow my character I would have made a Visual Novel for you to play or wrote my own little story. CONTRIBUTE!

Creating A world Vs. Using An Existing One:
I personally like using an existing world. That means we have rules and you already know how this world works. I also like to compare it to cardgames/boardgames. The card game Uno has been here for years we know how it works. Sure we might add some new rules or even subtract from it but it's still pretty much plays like Uno and you don't have to think too much on that matter. As for rping, the story can still be interesting as well. If we play an RP in a Pokemon setting. You know creatures are caught in poke balls and taken to Pokemon Centers etc. But we can still build something interesting and new under these rules
Creating a new world is not bad either. But I normally like to have at least one rule in there. Something that will make it interesting to play. Something that is usually the main focus. Like...Having something in the rp that is very much illegal. Saaaaay..... no one is allowed to have a radio. But this radio helps many people and if your characters is seen with it, it can mean something really bad for them. And maybe only a special group of people can have said radio. But getting that radio is the only way to save your village! You get me?
Genders and Roleplay:
[Side Note: I will rp with anyone/any gender. If the story is good I don't care who I rp with as long as the story is fun and interesting.]
I like playing with people who are really really really great at writing masculine men and really really really great at writing feminine women. Yet at the same time. Try your best not to stereotype them too badly PLEASE.
Fandoms
I'm a sucker for fandoms! I am also a sucker for fandoms that I can warp and make into something really fantastic. Like Pokemon! lol But I might want to make it more serious and mature with lives on the line and all that jazz. Even Code lyoko had a good hook for me but I felt that stuff could have been a bit more crazy and more mature. Though this was a show aimed at kids. So I understood. I only like to play in the universe of these fandoms though. I don't like playing the canon characters (unless its Rurouni Kenshin's characters). When it comes to some fandoms I might use the canon characters as NPCs and instruments to push the story forward but that is it.
Why I don't Like Magic, Undead, and Supernatural:
To me it's easy writing. "Because of Magic!" sort of thing. You could probably argue the same about Sci-fi "Because Science." But I think I just like sci-fi more is why I have that bais. But As I have mentioned to some people before, and I'll just copy and paste this portion of it.
"I'm just not really keen on things like pentagrams, summoning creatures from the otherworld (I'm ok with summoning just not from the otherworld/hell demons
), or long incantations.
If they just simply use magic like, say, Raven and Jinx from Teen Titans. I'm fine with that. Or quickly summoning some creatures like in Naruto I'm fine with all that...Who hurt me? lol, no one yet lol. I just like things to feel natural if magic is a necessity of my partner. Those things don't make an RP feel natural to me and it takes me out of immersion."
That's the gist of it. As long as my character doesn't have to do it or be a part of it I am A-Ok about it.

I'm known to describe my surroundings only when its important to do so. Like if we as the players need to know the weather and time of day. Allowing the reader to know what is happening in my character's head is another thing. Or at least show it through my character's actions If she/he is contemplating something they may hesitate to set down a glass or so to speak. I love when characters have conversations. It creates actual character development. I don't want to always drop plot but I do like to show that these characters are still social beings.
I have also been wanting to try a new thing with my roleplaying. I would like to put a certain word or phrase in a distinctive color (if I'm typing in color). it will indicate- "Hey, you can talk about this if you like." and if the writer desires they can ask on or extend on the thoughts of that subject. Its not needed and the story will still go on. But yea. I may try that soon.

When we role play together I want your character to see things mine don't. I don't want to hold your hand. I want you to go and act like we as players are going to an amusement park and you want to ride everything! But I'm like some weird older sister that says ok but I want to do this. I want to fight over control of the rp. But I want us to enjoy whats going on as well.
