In all seriousness, though, I've been roleplaying (both freeform and more formal RPGs) since the mid 90's, and have enjoyed more or less every second of it. I tend towards fantasy settings myself, even the modern and science-fiction ones. I tend to prefer more of an anime aesthetic for my roleplaying; Rule of Cool beats gritty realism any day, although sometimes something realistic just hits the spot.
Generally speaking, I prefer play-by-post to RP through chat; I just don't have as much uninterrupted time to sit down as I used to. I also prefer to stick to the Adults Only section, not because I'm solely interested in smut/violence, but because I don't like precluding the possibility; the idea of these things flowing naturally from the scene is an appealing one.
Also, I seem to be handing out a lot of advice lately, so if you ever need a neutral third party to run something by, feel free to shoot me a PM! I promise I don't bite.
