I've done this post by post style rp for a few years now, but I've been doing various collaborative storytelling since I was a kid. Making up games for my friends and I to play.
I enjoy all sorts of genres, from slice of life to almost anything under the 'speculative fiction' umbrella.
In terms of subjects, I enjoy romance, but it isn't a must. Pretty much anything except extreme gore or horror is alright by me, though I do like to discuss any possible sensitive or 'touchy' topics before hand rather than be blindsided.
Characters
I actually love character creation, so I'm able and willing to create (or tweak) characters to fit different settings and plots. (Flavoring backstory, magic or no magic, things like that.)

Length
Most of the time, I prefer at least a paragraph response with enough detail to work off of. Generally I write a few paragraphs, though I also tend to match my current partner's length of response.
If we are in the thick of an action scene and want to do a play by play quickly, then perhaps one or two sentences will work well. Or if we are OOC planning shorter responses aren't an issue.

Communication
Going to be away for a while due to life? Do you expect your response times to slow down? Did I make a grammar mistake so bad as to be unclear? (Or just in general, was something I wrote unclear?) Is there a mix up in the details? Dislike where the RP is going? Do you just want to be done? Has it been a while since I responded?
Just tell me. I promise I won't be mad, and I genuinely try not to be rude in any interaction. I also promise to do the same.
