Writer Info:
Greetings! I began role-playing while at uni, playing Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, and Wizard of the Coast's version of the Star Wars role-playing game. After graduating, I missed it and decided to play online. I am mainly interested in the Hobbit/Lord of the Rings fandom. I have been rping on twitter for about a couple of years and recently found this site, where I hope to meet other like-minded players.
In addition to rp, I am also a fan fiction writer, mainly in the Star Wars and Tolkien fandoms. I write both canon and original characters, with ocs being my first love.
I am pretty much happy to rp with anyone who is friendly, writes well, keeps the rp going and whose character I feel I can easily fit into a story-line.
Type of Roleplayer
I prefer descriptive writing over one-liners and usually write a paragraph or more, but it largely depends on how much space I have to write (as I've rped on twitter, I tend to write less in chat-style forums.), what the other writer gives me to work with and how long of a response I think it needs. If I am very motivated to write, it can be quite long.

I am also willing to back to Dnd 3.5 if someone is willing to run a game as I do have the Player Handbook, Monster Manual and the DM's Guide. (I do find the mathematics to be cumbersome, though, which is why I don't want to run one myself. )
I am also a fan of James Herriot, and would love to do an rp based around that, but I don't think it has the cool-ness factor that would attract people.
Groups:
Legends of Arda - a role-playing group set up for Middle-Earth rpers.
Sci-Fi and Fantasy - an ooc group for fans of Science Fiction and Fantasy film, TV and books from the 70's though to the 2000's. (Of course, discussion of good classic Sci-Fi and Fantasy books published earlier than that is welcome, too!)
And Finally....
If you're interested in any of the fandoms I've listed, you're welcome to leave me a message via the Science Fiction and Fantasy Group. I prefer not to get direct/private messages unless it's someone I know.
There are some fandoms I'm not interested in, even though they are in the genres that I like. These include: Twilight, Vampire Diaries, True Blood and Dr Who.
I do not have an interest in anime and manga, or a lot of video games, so I won't be rping in those.
In regards to comics, I do like Marvel, particularly the X-Men, Spider-man and Thor, but I don't know enough about the world, either in the movie-verse, or the various ones that exist in comics to be able to play in them. I've never been able to relate to DC characters.
Please note: I'm only interested in accepting friend requests from people who have similar interests to me and don't accept them if their character profiles are not filled out fully, or use Anime/Manga art for their character's profile as I am not a fan of the genre. As I am in my thirties, I don't like rping with people who are a lot younger than I am (and please note, I mean the age of the rper, not the character), so if you're a teenager, I don't think we'd have a great deal in common.
Inquiring minds want to know why we too should befriend isavarg!
Did you remember to explain why your friend is awesome?
