• Biography

  Vincent hasn't had a great life, but then his life isn't as bad as he might sometimes believe it to be. He's no athlete - at least not in the traditional college sense, he isn't very social, he's not from a wealthy family, and doesn't consider himself much to look at.
  But he is clever, he knows his technology and despite his lack of confidence is actually quite gifted in it. He doesn't believe he'll be going much of anywhere, and he knows, but cannot help aiming far too high when it comes to what girls he finds attractive.
  
  Growing up, his mother was very overbearing. She did not let him have much wiggle room when it came to behavior, what he could wear, what he could do, who he could have around, and what toys he could ask for. She controlled too much of his life, and as a result, he has some submissive tendencies, especially around confident pretty women.
  He's the kind of guy to dream and fantasize about getting romantic with a pretty woman without the confidence to even try to talk to a woman without stumbling over his own tongue and getting highly embarrassed.
  
  When he was twelve, his mother died while trying to give birth to who would have been his brother. But he died too. Since then, he's lived with his dad, and while he turned to drink like a stereotypical dad from some movie or tv show, he hasn't turned abusive. He's neglectful and distant, but he's not abusive.
  
  Vincent's never been much for friends. He finds it easier to socialize behind a keyboard than he does face to face, and spends most of his time alone. There are a small handful of people he can and will hang with, but they tend to do more online together than they do in college or out of it.
  
  Two summers ago, Vincent hit an incredibly low point in his life. Being bullied in and out of school, along with a father too busy getting drunk to offer him any care or advice, he genuinely believed he did not deserve to live, and so one day, when his father was passed out drunk on the couch, Vincent climbed into a warm bath and slashed his wrist, dragging a knife up his left forearm.
  The only reason he survived was because the landlord of their previous address came knocking and after receiving no answer, entered the premises.
  When he came around, he realized how stupid trying to take his own life was, and has worked hard to try and change it around ever since.
  No one knew about his suicide attempt. His friends just assumed he was going through one of his quiet, introverted phases, and his father was too drunk to notice. As he was eighteen, he had control over his own medical information and refused to allow anyone to be alerted.
  He hides the scar well. Never wearing short sleeved tops, even in the summer. No one has really paid enough attention to notice this behavior, which actually suits him fine.
  
  He is harboring a heavy crush right now too. A girl in his class, who he finds incredibly attractive. The problem is, she's exactly the kind of girl that everyone finds attractive, and seems to have the depth of a teaspoon. He has the major hots for her, but she pisses him right off too, with her bitchy treatment of him and the way she pushes him around and thinks she's better than him.
  It's the kind of crush he wishes he could talk himself out of, and has tried several times. But then she comes in with a certain outfit on, or has her hair a certain way, and he finds himself pining hard for her all over again.
  
  Despite his love of computers, he's not a homebody. He enjoys camping and photography. Loves animals and sometimes will help out at the local animal shelter, and he attends Karate and Judo, though that is a personal secret. Despite knowing how to defend himself, he doesn't make a habit of it, allowing the jocks and cheerleaders to say and do pretty much whatever they want. The way he figured it, it was better to just let them get it out of their system. If he was ever to beat one of them or embarrass them, he knows they will give him absolute Hell.
