  Long, black hair. Slightly tan complexion. White teeth, bright smile, and deep, brown, mesmerizing eyes.
  
  Karuna Sky is an empathic person with the ability to feel other people's emotions. Occasionally she can read their thoughts, but not in detail, and only if there is a strong emotional component of the thought.
  
  She could be thought of as a modern day Native American Medicine Woman whose area of specialty is healing of the mind. She and others of her tribe, as well as other Reiki workers, those that meditate, and those that believe in energy work as well as hippies and the like have formed a secret spa-like center that is like no spa that you've ever been to before. It is called the Oasis. It is located in what looks like an ordinary (but very large, 20 room) house, and clients come only by invitation.
  
  The invitation to the Oasis often comes when one of the empaths who are part of the tribe incidentally comes across someone out in the world who is lost, alone, and at the end of their rope. Karuna, or one of the others, confronts them, calls them out and offers them a chance to come to the Oasis for rejuvenation. There is a star room, a waterfall, a diner, eye-gazing practitioners, a pool, a diner, animal therapy, and indoor skydiving. It's a place where you can get all kinds of mental, emotional, and physical therapy, not the least of which is simple, nurturing, affectionate touch.
