    Minji was born in Korea but her family moved soon after that to Japan where they lived with the family from her fathers side. Her mother left the family when she was 5 and returned to Korea. Her father wasn't able to take care of her and ran away from his responsibility, leaving Minji in the care of her grandmother.

    The relationship between the two was complicated due to Minjis grandmother being strict and very conservative while the young girl was more of a free spirit. The main reason for fights were her passion for rock music.

    Minji cut and dyed her hair, got her ears and nose pierced and dressed in a rather eccentric way. She started to smoke and learned to play the drums instead of the violin like her grandmother wanted her to do. And lastly joined a rockband. It was the breaking point between them and they stopped talking.

    She moved out at the age of 17 and rented a one room appartment near the club where they had their Gigs. Blast was the only family she had from there.
