-- Kimono Girl --
Having traveled far from La Citta, little Emi had finally returned. Though, she wasn't so little anymore. It had been a few years and the cute little sprout that the inhabitants had loved and grown to know so well had come back. Not much taller, no, but a few years older! There was definitely something different about the girl, something that one probably found difficulty putting their finger on. She'd only grown maybe a couple inches taller, still skinny as anything. Though, at this point, her glowing peach skin had started to fade into a light, pale color. Her long, silky black hair had grown out. No more beautiful, flowery combs to hold it in place. Those bright blue eyes she used to have had begun to fade a year or so back, a light film seemed to coat the tiny oceans. Still staying true to her kimonos, she wore the beautifully decorated garments tight to her body, which had now developed light curves. Nothing too embarrassing at all, thankfully. Brightly colored, gigantic ribbons tied tightly around the waist with a big, beautiful bow in the back. The over bubbly, genuine grin she once had was now a soft, but still genuine smile.
Having long returned the the Sacred Comb of the Celestial Geisha, Emi returned to the place she'd felt closest too. La Citta was where she had met some of her closest friends and made some of her fondest memories. It was true, if one truly looked, they could see Emi's sight was starting to falter as the color in her eye began to pale. She was no doubt not in the good health that she used to be in when she traveled alone as a child. The childlike wonder she used to have was gone for the most part as well. Looking into her fading eyes, it was easy to see she'd seen things that most children should and been through new challenges that were never expected of her. Regardless of these things, her smile was still true and her kindness was everlasting. Emiri remained the friendly young girl she'd always been. And though mature far past her years, the heart of a child still beat warmly in her chest.

- Herbs -
Many different types of herbs she's collected on her travels. She uses them to cook, bake, and make medicines. They are all kept in a small glass box.
- Medicines -
Made from the herbs she'd collected, these medicines work wonders! There's medicine to take away a fever, calm an aching stomach, and even antidotes for various poisons.
- Herbal Ointment -
Ointment made from soothing herbs. Emi either rubs the ointment on a rag or on a giant leaf and then places it on a burn or deep scratch to heal the wound quicker and ease the pain.
- Homemade Herb Bread -
Delicious bread that Emi made herself. It makes a light crisping sound if you squeeze it, but is soft on the inside.
- Herb Cookies -
Cookies that Emi makes every now and again. They've been known to ease tummy aches.
- Garment Box -
The Garment box is a small box crafted by a witch Emi had met on her travels. It's a small, beautifully decorated box that has the ability to shrink and hold clothes until Emi needs them. This is how she carries her kimonos. -

Emi had always lived in a small village with her mother and father. Her father taught her how to find herbs and her mother told her how to cook and clean. Everyone in the village was friendly to each other and newcomers. The village was home to the Scared Comb of the Celestial Geisha, it's most sacred object that was guarded by its elder. One evening, there was a demon attack. Even the strongest of wars were not able to kill them all. Emi's parents were killed. Her mother's last words were:
"Run, my Emi. Run to the Elder. Run as if the devil is at your heels, run! Run!"
Shaken with fear and sorrow, Emi did run. When she arrived at the Elder's home, it was practically destroyed. A centipede-like demon lay dead in the hallway. She found the Elder almost dead, clutching something. He then spoke to her:
"Emi.. T-take this. Take this and don't let anyone have it. Guard it as if there is nothing but this you can guard.."
He then passed away. Unfolding the cloth, she found that he'd entrusted her with the Sacred Comb of the Celestial Geisha.
"Kikuya's comb..."
Since that day, Emi has had the comb and has been taking care of herself better than most adults take care of their own selves.

Among her travels, she'd found herself in La Citta where she had stayed the longest of anywhere she'd been. However, on a whim, she'd decided to continue her quest in bringing the comb to the shrine of Kikuya's ancestors after the geisha's shrine had been ransacked in her village. She was eleven when she left. There wasn't much struggle upon her departure, really. She was on a boat with grumpy older men who didn't really pay her much mind. Her main company was her baby scarhawk, Peco. He grew faster and faster everyday and was often protective over little Emi even in his small size. Having finally returned back to the lands she'd come from, the little girl made the trek to finding the Kikuya family shrine based on a simple map in her head. She'd crossed many demons and managed to evade them thanks to the protection of the sacred comb in her backpack. By the time she'd reached the shrine, she was thirteen.
In returning the comb, Emi recieved a blessing and praise for her good heart and hard work before going on her way. When she reached the ship to return back to La Citta, a group of traders who spotted her had other ideas. No longer under the protection of the comb, Emi was kidnapped by the men and drugged. Waking up, she was surprised to find her face covered with beautiful makeup and her kimono was fresh and clean! Her hair looked so pretty- but she was in a cage? Opening her little eyes, she looked out at a group of people, many were eyeing her in such a strange way- she didn't really understand.
That was the day that she was sold in a slave auction. So many people had offered up money just for her, the pretty little kimono girl. But the one who outbid them all was a rich demon lord by the name of Makabutso Chii. His appearance frightened Emi, but when he spoke his words melted and his mannerisms were perfect. He swept her away to his manor and it was such a beautiful place, possibly one of the most beautiful Emi had seen- but everything changed the next day. Emi awoke the next morning to find her clothes gone. Makabutso had locked all of her things away in a big chest in his room and told her this is how she'd walk around from now on. When Emi said she did not like that, he pulled out a whip. With one click, the whip caught fire and he kicked Emi to the ground and slashed it across her back. He told her anytime he felt Emi was not behaving, this would happen.
As Emi grew older, she would often serve tea to the many prestigious house guests that Maka had over. She would be dressed in fine gowns with makeup on her face, but Maka would make her keep her hair down. He liked long hair. One of the guests, Emi refered to him as Mr. Kashki, had begun to choke. Without thinking, Emi quickly dropped the platter she was carrying and wrapped her arms around him to perform the heimlech manevour. It was effective, but the fine china and tray now lay broken on the floor in a horrible mess. Maka was outraged, the most angry he'd ever been that Emi had seen. She'd embarrassed him in front of his guests. He threw her to the wall and screamed at her. Ripping her clothes off, he beat her repeatedly with his whip until she fell unconscious from the pain. The guests watched, not daring to say or do anything until Maka calmly suggested they move to the veranda.
Emi lay there for a long time until she felt a gently hand working ointment along the stinging gashes in her back. It was Mr. Kashki! He thanked her for saving her and offered her a life better than this. Emi knew it was forbidden, but she was absolutely positive that Maka would kill her tonight if she didn't leave. Agreeing to go with Mr. Kashki, the man tucked the smaller girl away in his giant cargo bag that he wheeled and left the estate. It wasn't long after, however, there was a great rage. Maka was absolutely furious when he realized Emi was gone. He transformed into his true form and set fire to the forest around the area. Mr. Kashki wheeled the bag down a hill nearby before he was slaughtered, like the rest of the guests by the angry Maka. Emi stayed very still inside of the bag, not daring to move as she listened to the carnage and the fire outside.
The next morning, she awoke to being shaken by two boys who had found her naked body inside the bag. They quickly got adults from their village who tended to her wounds. They had known of Emi who had returned the comb and asked many questions. Emi was never one to lie, but she felt too ashamed to talk about the things she'd done at Maka's estate, so she told them she was on a journey to return back to the country she'd enjoyed most. It wasn't long after she was escorted to a boat, much like the one she'd returned on back when she was eleven. Emi boarded with no problems and continued the journey with no problems. That was when a cloaked man approached her. He sat with the girl and said "Ser Makabutso caught wind that you were departing today." Emi felt chills riddle through her body as she stared to the man. The man simply shook his head and withdrew a familiar bag from his robe, handing it to her along with a folded kimono that had the most beautiful floral decoration and finest silk work that she'd ever seen. "He sends his best regards and hopes to see you again. One day." That being said, the man disappeared. Emi couldn't find it in her heart to think of any other intentions other than Maka felt bad for what he'd done to her.
The journey back to La Citta was more or less absolutely dreadful. Pirates had taken over the ship that Emi was on. They killed most of the passengers and a good portion of the sailors who would refuse to work for them. Upon finding Emi though, the captain halted. He demanded that she was taken aboard their ship at once. He did not kill her, he did not take her things and the other pirates were puzzled. They never took on little girls and they only kept women for a day or two at most- what was the captain's plan? It turns out, Emi reminded the captain a lot of a daughter he'd had. He told her that she would probably have to die, that he only took her on on impulse. Emi smiled and said, "Thank you for sparing my life for these few moments then. I'm glad you got to see something of your daughter even if it was for just a moment." The captain's heart had been stolen that day and he'd decided to spare her life as long as she pulled her weight and some around the ship. So, Emi had become a ship hand for a band of pirates. Regardless of her situation, she was grateful. She would always make sure everything was clean and all of the crew members had eaten for the day. They all eventually grew fond of her aside from some of the older ones who were set in their ways. However, the captain began to notice something. Sometimes, Emi would be walking and even when a bucket or rope was in plain view, she would trip over it. Of course, she would laugh and clean up right away saying something like, "Silly me!" or "Oopse! Sorry! Sorry!" Come to think of it, the little girl's eye color seemed to change as the days went on- they were getting more and more pale. She'd also gotten skinnier and more pale. He knew that Emi was ill and probably had been ill for a while, but wouldn't say anything of course. By surprise of himself and all of the crew mates, he made a brief stop in the La Citta port. Emi had never felt so happy in her whole life, and incredibly grateful.
Now she is back in La Citta, learning her way around again and looking for any old friends whose eye she might catch.
