• Description

  Beyond, through and underneath swathes of smoke - cold, golden - piercing twin eyeballs; forever framed by charcoal fur-ridden wolf pelt perched over man face, eyes almost obscured in shadow, save shining iris. Tall for many yet short for few - scant smile seeped soul smoke like lazy lizard tongue lolling left ways. Wolf skin - draped over back while bare body played almost nude, soft bits bourne by little leather loincloth and carrying various vials and virulent powders, some simple shaman, was he.

• Background

  A small gray moth, lanky and mange-ridden wolf or a tall thin man, this one was curious. After raising a large family this wolf was approached by an elderly man, a man who could change his shape. The gentleman confided he once was a raven and was taught to change shapes by a locust he had caught for lunch one day. Weeks passed and one winter eve the wolf returned home with a large pig which he fed his family. Once the meal was fully consumed his family told him he had killed the old man in form a pig, and that they would now kill him for this. The wolf defended himself and in the last minute he changed form into a bear and destroyed them all. He glides through the worlds, having learned some words of men, of moths and bears he searches for one to teach his trick and end his journey.
