Born in another dimension,Carmen were on the run with her mother since witches were hated in their dimension, and were hunted down.Eventually Carmen and her mother were captured but Carmen managed to break free, her mother told her to open a portal to another dimension and escape there.Carmen said she didn't want to leave her mother behind but her mother demanded that she needed to go so tearfully, Carmen opened a portal to another dimension and escaped, leaving her mother to be killed.Carmen was heartbroken that she had just left her mother to die and was raised by an elderly temptress to help her control her powers and learn more magic.
