• Description

  The Scientist is the head honcho of Technologies to Increase Brain Activity (T.I.B.A.). It was his research that lead the company to increase brain accessibility by two percent over five years. To the Test Subjects, he is the most mysterious man alive; to the world, he is the best thing to happen to the world of science since Einstein. Ten years ago, he opened up the first T.I.B.A. building in southern Oregon, and since then has opened up ten more facilities nationally and has three facilities abroad.

• Biography

  The Scientist started his research in his early years. At eight, his IQ soared past 120. By age eleven, he had already bred the world's smartest lab rats. When his mother and father were killed at age fourteen, he was taken in by his grandparents until they too died when he was eighteen. Of course, by this time, he had already graduated from college and started construction on the first T.I.B.A. building. Within two years of the building's opening, they had already boosted human brain capabilities by one percent by testing solely on rats. Two years later, T.I.B.A. had increased brain capabilities by another percent.
  Now, with permission from volunteers, The Scientist can now extend his hand into the human brain and work with it. His tests have revealed truths of the subconscious by testing with insomnia and dreams. He has broken the cages of telekinesis and telepathy. He's made a mind go on a schedule that is malleable only by him. He has increased an IQ level from 89 to 132 in mere months. All this sounds amazing and fantastic, but to what end? No one keeps a record of how many test subjects that had bad results, the public only cares about the good results.

• Notes on The Dreamer

  Day 0: Applicant found. Is a college student in need of funds to pay off student debts. His semester is over and he has agreed to spend the summer subjecting himself to tests pertaining to the secrets lying (no pun intended) in dreams. Subject will be placed in solitary confinement next to the chamber for the soon-to-be-found Insomniac applicant. Subject will be under constant surveillance from behind the one-way mirrors near the ceiling of the chamber. For the first few days, applicant will be allowed to follow his own schedule, but when a basis for his dreams is found, he has abliged to follow a schedule given to him by my group of researchers.
  
  Day 1: Applicant has arrived and monitoring has begun. For now, the goal is to see how his dreams are on a regular bodily schedule. This will take several days-weeks to produce conclusive results.
  
  Day 2: Subject appears to have poor recollection skills. The only thing he could recall from last night's dream was seeing a character from a cartoon show. Home remedies for dream remembrance are to be applied tonight. Remedies include: a tall cup of apple juice before going to sleep, a technique that has the subject drink a glass of water before going to sleep and just after waking up, an empty journal and pen with which to record what he can remember from the dreams inside, and meditation. Should the remedies prove unsuccessful over the next few days-weeks, drugs that should increase dream remembrance will be administered to the subject before sleep.
  
  Day 3: Remedies appear to have slightly improved recollection techniques. Today's dream involved a pinwheel that allowed the subject to fly so long as it kept on spinning. Other details were lost during recollection.
  
  Day 4: Subject's body has reacted poorly to the food given to him and has had a sleepless night. However, this has provided us with a chance to study fever dreams.
  
  Day 5: Subject received a full night's sleep last night, but is still sick and unable to recall his dreams, if there were any at all. Drowsy flu medicine has been provided in an attempt to get the testing back on schedule.
