• Bio

  Leon is a man of questionable identity, both his parentage and ethnicity are unknown even to him, though it is suspected he is of Italian decent. As an infant he was left on the doorstep of a wealthy Duke in England. The Duke and Duchess saw this as a remarkable blessing, never having been able to conceive an heir themselves, so they raised the boy as their own.
  
  As soon as he had teeth, he began biting anyone who dared come near. The Duke and duchess simply thought it was just some,tuning young boys did. They never suspected anything was amiss until one night when the boy was only 5 years old, they found him standing over the body of the Duke's favorite dog, covered in blood. They feared he had the heart of a murderer and, being good Catholics, sent him to the nearest church school that would take him.
  
  There he stayed, at St Augustine's Academy, for 9 years. While there, he repeated the heinous act several times with animals of all kinds and once, when he was 10, on a fellow student. Leon himself had not idea why he felt the urge to do these things, only that he felt as if he would die if he did not. It wasn't until he was 12 that he discovered the truth. A nun named Maria came to work at the church that year. She, being a pureblooded vampire, knew exactly what he was the moment she heard the sisters speaking about him.
  
  He became Maria's project, her student, and her goal. She taught him everything she could about what he was and how to control his urges and feed without anyone finding out. 2 years later he was sent back to his adoptive parents a changed boy. He kept his identity secret from until they died, though they were suspicious of how he never seemed to age. After their death, he took over the estate in their name and enjoyed his new status of Duke. A few years later, suspicions began to rise about the man who never seemed to age, was never sick, and seemed uninterested in finding a wife, preferring the company of prostitutes with no thought of producing an heir to further his lineage. He moved to England to avoid the rumors. In 1902 he found Maria again, no longer a nun, fallen vastly in status and reduced to living on the streets. Horrified to find her in such a state, he brought his former caregiver home and returned the favor she had given him many years before, housing her, funding her, and eventually marrying her.
  
  Their marital bliss was short lived though, hunters in England were prevalent and soon caught on to the couple. They were out for a walk on a foggy night and had no idea they were being followed until a large stake protruded suddenly from Maria's chest.
