When Tripp was born, it was impossible not to deny as an accident. His parents had already raised a sixteen year old, and a twelve year old. Tripps mother was already fourty years old and his father 42. The mans patience had already run thin and the family already had its secrets. Both the boys feared for their new baby brother, as their father had a terrible temper.

His childhood was fairly simple. His mother and his brothers spent a lot of time protecting him from the truth. 3 weeks after tripps fourth birthday their mother died. The doctors claimed it that she had been sick for months and had refused treatment. Tripp being too young never asked his brothers about this. And unfortunately with their mothers death the boys couldnt handle the brunt of their fathers abuse.
Alex being 18 left the house, and fought for leagal custody of his brothers. Because of the fortunate factor that Kaleb was sixteen by this point, the court gave him a choice to live with his father or his brother. Naturally he sought out his brothers comfort. The unfortunate factor was that the court decided since Tripp was only four years old, that he would be better off living with their father. The boys would make a huge stink. and Tripp would be put into foster care a handful of times over the next 2 years.

Eventually he would fall back at home with his father, who had refused to speak to his other sons after the stunt they had pulled. He never did more than scream at Tripp, and on one or two occasions he had hit him. But it didnt get horrible until one day, Tripp came home with his friend Landon. He wanted to invite him to play, and naturally being only about six years old, and having recently learned about the buddy system they held hands the whole walk. When they reached the Smith household, Tripps father became enraged.

He grabbed the nearest magazine and began beating his son. Screaming about how he would not have a gay child in his household. This would emotionally scar Tripp and begin the immediate and constant terror from his father. It would also drill into his head that being gay was a terrible thing and that he couldnt ever 'become gay'. From that moment on anytime he wronged his father, anytime he mentioned doing something with another boy, like going to the library, or the movies, or even sometimes just when his father was drunk, Tripp would be beaten. He would fall into the classic trap of an abused child.

This would go on for about a year before his brothers found out. They naturally felt the pain, having been there themselve, though as they figured not nearly as bas as Tripp had it. They had only really experienced anything so much as close to it, when their father was black out drunk or furious. They naturally called the DCYF, trying once again to gain custody of their little brother. All it unfortunately managed to do was draw up attention. when the DCYF came for their home visits they found no evidence of harming nature. When they spoke to Tripp he lied, knowing his father was watching from the corner, and naturally being afraid.

Tripp would smile to his brothers and assure them he was okay. But as he aged, everything changed. during puberty he started to realize he had an infatuation with males, which he denied himself. He became a play boy, flirting with just about every girl, and sleeping with many of them. Though it was tough for him, and felt almost nothing, he figured that was how it was supposed to feel. He decided that the fairytale ideal of LOVE didnt exist. And that people just made it up to fill some void in their being.

At 16 he found he couldnt fill this void, and joined working with his brothers at a local Host Cafe. There he flirted with women all day long. And he spent his nights working at a local performance center. One night another actor called him out calling him "gay; a fairy; a faggot;ect." because he had unwittingly gained an erection while watching a dancer. He grew enraged and punched the kid, repetedly. It took several of his friends, including Landon, to pull him off the kid. and the director did of course call the police, Tripp would spend that night in a cell at the police station, as his father was too drunk to come get him. and He couldnt bring himself to call his brothers; he was far too ashamed of himself.

Tripp is in complete denial of his own sexuality. A horrible after math of his fathers abuse. He doesnt believe romantic love exists because hes never genuinely witnessed it, this makes him skeptic of all romance. He is a pit of angst and agony and he angers easily. This also implies that he gets upset easy, though you really gotta get under his skin to know that.

The only people hes ever told about what hes gone through, are his brothers, and Landon. And if landon had not witnessed it first hand than he too probably would not know. It is difficult to deal with Tripp as he gets very cocky as a self defense mechanism, and hes surrounded by people who would defend him to the ends of the earth.
