  Some people struggle with the destiny they’re born for, but never Tessrinka. The mantle of her future responsibility has always sat comfortably and rightly on her shoulders, if not always easily. It remains her core motivation. She enjoys her duties as clan defender, and takes pride in the tunnels and chambers she crafts when conflict is quiet. Tessrinka is a woman of unswerving loyalty and devotion for those she loves: her overlarge family, her clan, and her old master. As the eldest sibling of nine, she has often taken the caretaker role for her siblings. She feels a strong sense of responsibility for guiding their growth.
  
  She is blunt, honest, level-headed, always observant, and does not abide by flakiness, frivolousness, or nonsense. While she will hold her tongue, she will not extend untrue or superfluous flattery. Rather than the abstract, she prefers a reality she can touch and feel and confirm with her hands.
  
  
  Tessrinka hails from a rather small clan of mountain-dwelling folk in tunnel systems they've hewn out of the largely-basalt mountainside with magical and manual methods, the Čedič Burrows. Like a handful of other Terran clans, they have organized themselves matriarchally, with a council of seven women to govern them, while the men generally work at crafts. As a small clan, the Čedičovás tend to be more involved in bickering and conflicts amongst other Terran clans, jockeying for position and craftsware contracts, rather than warring with other nations. (They are particularly known for their exquisite, unusual ceramics and small arms making.) As her mother’s oldest daughter, Tessrinka is in line to be the next matriarch of her family’s branch, one of the clan’s council. From a young age, she built herself a reputation of astute, level-headed judgments, and looked forward to the family-centric life she was destined for.
  
  Her Earth powers kicked in at puberty, which is later than usual for the clans. However, it quickly became clear that their strength was far beyond the usual scope. Moving rocks with her mind, hollowing tunnels, passing herself and a passenger through stone with ease, blasting and even quaking the earth all made her an asset as a defender to her clan. So at seventeen, after sufficiently training her powers and rudimentarily training her fighting skills with clan teachers, and after the Counsel had made satisfactory arrangements, she was sent to a larger allied clan’s Earthmaster to hone her skills further. Though her relatively intensive period of training is completed, Though the Žula clan tried to entice her to stay with many methods (including a heartwrenching romance), the stubborn Tessrinka returned to her home three years later after completing her training, stronger and better equipped to serve her clan. Recently the Žula clan has called her back for an important project citing their clans’ close alliances, leaving her clan was unable to refuse. To say she’s not exactly happy about this would be an understatement. Tessrinka had precisely one journey beyond her home burrows and that was more than enough, thank you very much.

  Power 1: Earth Control – 10

  Description: As a master of this skill line, Tessrinka has the ability to control and manipulate all the various kinds of earth—sand, stone, dirt, silt, or precious gems. Can pull the earth from around her and form it into boulders, walls, golems, or other similar potentially masterfully-refined constructs. Can also levitate the earth. A personal favourite is to have small rocks orbit herself while battling, in a sort of stone-tornado. Lacking in the stone self-armouring skills common among Terrans, Tessrinka relies heavily on this to make up for it during battles. This is the power which can be used most naturally for her and with the least concentration or fatigue. She also tends to use this power for Burrow renovation purposes. Can shape, hollow out, and tunnel into the earth (both stone and softer soil). This skill can also be applied with fine control, for sculpting or carving.
  
  Limits: Can only levitate the earth while focusing or conscious. Constructs made of sand or unbalanced earth fall apart when the Terran stops focusing. Scaling: Every two pts gives a new type of earth to control. Tessrinka can control a max of 55,150 cubic feet of earth matter at once, and a max of 5 masterfully-refined constructs (Not exceeding 55,150 cubic feet in total size). More volume of stone requires more concentration for her to maintain. When renovating stone, it must abide by laws of physics, and cave-in is a risk that must be cautiously accounted for. This is hard to control when emotions are unchecked.

  Description: The ability to create the various kinds of earth—sand, stone, dirt, silt, or precious gems—magically.
  
  Limits: Has to wait in between creating the maximum amount of earth. Takes time to create the earth. Must have room to create the earth. Can create 50 cubic ft at max, which requires a 2-hour rest before reusing the power.
  
  
  
  
  
  Power 3 (Power 2's level 2): Earth Creation – Transmutearth -- 4

  Description: An enhanced ability to magically transform one type of soil or stone into another. All available categories are listed: Gems, stones, soils, and earth. Examples of kinds - Clay, sand, silt, peat, chalk, loam, basalt, granite, limestone, quartzite, slate, marble, sandstone. .) She favours basalt (her clan’s namesake) for its hardness. Volume—not mass—is conserved. This power is very rare among Terrans.
  
  Limits: Cannot transmute to metals or ore, but natural rocks with metallic properties is acceptable. She needs to have encountered the type of stone before, in order to reproduce it. She requires rest after transmuting the max amount. Transmuting takes time and they can only shift the new type of earth to the exact same amount as the old type of earth- No more, no less. Scaling: They can transmute up to 11 040 cubic ft, which then requires 8 hours of rest. Tessrinka must be within 10 ft of part of the earth she wishes to transmute.

  Limits: Must rest after using the max number, 10 hours at 1 pt, decreasing an hour per pt. Scaling: Can throw 2 boulders at a range of 528 ft. The boulders can be up to 8 cubic ft.
