  She's fast, and can use fireballs to snipe from a distance. She can also do a short ranged fire blast. But she's not the best at melee, claw and fang combat, and like all fire dragons, she's weak to water. She doesn't fizzle out if she touches water, she can be in it, but she's a poor swimmer.

• Appearance

  

  
  Average size for a teenage dragon(roughly the size of a yearling horse). Orange scales, with gold markings that somewhat resemble flames running down her neck, back, and tail. Gray eyes. Two backward curving horns, her horns and claws are coppery brown. Red belly plates, back spines, and tail spike. Her tail spike is arrowhead shaped and her back spines are triangle shaped. Gold wing joints and yellow wing membranes.

• Personality

  Brave, outgoing, and a go getter. Hates dreadwings with a fierce passion (see history) and will seek out opportunities to be the hero. She isn't stupid, she will retreat if she's in over her head, but doesn't like to. Enjoys combat training probably more than she should. Some of her peers see her as too serious, but she can joke and laugh when she's with her friends and it's "the right situation". If there's reports of gnorcs in the area, or gods forbid, dreadwings, it's not the right situation.

• History

  In the arid area that is the Peace Keepers world, there is a dragon village known as Cliff Town. It is led by a village chief, the current one being Darkor. Darkor is a handsome gray dragon, in his younger years the female dragons would compete for his affections. There still might be some jealousy going around today, according to rumors. He chose a golden scaled female named Glitter to be his mate. It wasn't long afterward that they were blessed with an egg, which hatched into a little orange dracling. They named her Topaz, after her maternal great grandmother who she resembled.
  
  It's not uncommon for dragons to have a different breath element than either parent, sometimes they will inherit that of a more distant ancestor. Topaz is an example. Her mother is an electric dragon and her father controls the element of dark. They figured they would have a hard time teaching her how to use her element, so Topaz was trained by the most experienced fire dragon in the village: Inferno. At first she wondered if he was too old and creaky to do a good job. Inferno wondered the same, but he was honored to help the chief.
  
  Inferno taught Topaz the basics of fire breath and marveled at how fast of a learner she was. He often boasted about his student, about how she mastered the long range fireballs in a few months when it took him closer to a year. This naturally made Darkor and Glitter proud.
  
  One day, Inferno took Topaz to Dry Canyon. They were attacked by gnorcs there, which wasn't surprising. The ugly little creatures tended to travel in hordes and cause trouble everywhere, and they weren't very smart. Despite having countless members of their kind killed by dragons and others defending themselves, they kept pillaging. The two fire dragons had little trouble with the gnorcs. But Inferno was weakened and wounded, and on the way back, they ran into a flock of dreadwings: large demonic batlike creatures. Inferno didn't survive. Topaz was heartbroken, and although she doesn't blame herself for her mentor's death, she has developed a strong hate for dreadwings and will sometimes try to kill every one she sees. She continues to train herself, honing her skills and aiming to someday succeed her father as Cliff Town's chief.
