    Depends heavily on setting and storyline, but generally Haddy ends up orphaned one way or another at a young age, then he meets Jynx, a mute child who was also orphaned. Haddy keeps the younger boy safe from any harm that may come to him, and before long they find that they love each other more than anything, and consider themselves to be brothers, even allowing Jynx to heal enough to talk again. Jynx ends up falling in love later in life with a young woman - Maria - who makes their family even bigger, even more whole.
