Caelan carries the look common to men who have spent more time beneath trees than beneath roofs. Standing at 185 cm (6’1), and weighing roughly 14 stone (89.8 kg / 198 lbs), he possesses the lean, hardened build shaped by years serving as a Ranger of Ithilien.

Broad-shouldered without excessive bulk, he was built for endurance, stealth, and survival rather than raw strength. His dark hair falls slightly past his collar when left unattended, often left wind-tossed from long roads and harder riding. Green eyes… sharp and observant… misses very little, though they rarely linger long enough to place others at ease.

Years spent within Ithilien’s harsher wilderness has weathered him earlier than most men his age. Fine scars cross his hands and forearms alike from thorns, blades, and war, while a more noticeable scar rests beneath the right side of his jaw, partially hidden behind dark stubble.

He dresses simply in layered leathers and dark wool beneath weatherproof outerwear, usually concealed beneath the forest-green cloak of the Rangers. His boots are well-kept but softened by countless miles upon the road. At his hip rests both a long Gondorian dagger and a ranger’s sword forged during the final years of the Third Age. Though he favors the bow whenever distance allows, years of close fighting have taught him the necessity of quicker steel.

Despite the quiet authority in his bearing, there is little outward nobility about him. Most who encounter Caelan upon the roads mistake him for a wandering scout, caravan guard, mercenary, or merely another hardened traveler. Caelan rarely corrects them… liking the anonymity.

Caelan is a restrained man by nature, rather than coldness. Years spent in Ithilien during the war has carved patience into him more deeply than anger ever could. He observes before speaking. Measures before acting. Trusts slowly.

He possesses the quiet discipline common among Rangers… Alert even at rest, attentive to small details, and difficult to surprise.
