A sturdy wooden crossbow that shoots small bolts. Quickly re-loadable and effective at medium distance.

A simple steel shortsword, a light weapon for easy maneuverability and quick jabs.

A small steel dagger, hidden from sight for a surprise attack.

A long flute made out of the bones of a whale. It plays enjoyable tunes at the cost of Aearion's voice.

A handcrafted lute made out of driftwood. It plays beautiful music that can easily entice a person.

A pair of torches in case light or a fire is needed.

A small leather book and quill for writing down information and poetry.

Merfolk can breathe underwater as well as on land.

Merfolk can transform their legs into a fish's tail at will.

Aearion is an excellent swimmer, with both his tail as well as his legs, though he is much faster when he has his tail out.

Aearion can sing a Siren's song, which will put the target at the Mer's power. Aearion is in control of the song-struck person for a short time only. (Takes two posts of preparation to work and the effect lasts two posts)

Aearion has a silver tongue, being excellent in lying, telling tales, singing and convincing others to do things for him.

Aearion is great at playing the lute and flute as well as singing and poetry.

Being a bard, his music can set various moods. One of these is inspiring others into doing brave acts as well as raising morale.

A good song can lift the spirits of even the saddest people, or it can do the opposite and give a mood of sadness.

Songs are distracting, especially when they are crafted so excellently. Aearion can distract individuals or large groups of people with his music so others have a better chance at picking pockets or doing a surprise attack.

Though not a great fighter, Aearion is a nimble creature and quick on his feet, capable of quickly jabbing his foes with a great speed.

Aearion is not a strong person, and can hardly throw a punch. It's speed he relies on, not strength. Against heavily armored foes he doesn't stand a chance.

The bard is not a great fighter at all. He is hardly capable of defending himself in combat. He prefers to avoid it whenever possible.

The Mer have lived their lives relatively untouched by disease, and are therefore easily harmed by it. Poisons are also extra potent against Aearion.

Aearion can't handle pain very well. Too much of it, and he will get into a state of panic.

Once Aearion's skin becomes too dry, his movements become slow and his breathing heavy. If it reaches a critical point, he won't even be able to speak. Dry skin won't kill him, though.
