  Alexei, at first, comes off as a sort of satirical sort of person, cynical and a little pessimistic. However, he is truly a very chivalrous sort of character, considerate and extremely gentle. You could say that his personality is extreme in some case due to the polar opposites of his backstory. He knows the value of kindness, as shown by the Baron (later mentioned), and the value of death, the value of education, the value of isolation, expression, exploration. He is rather, down to earth in a sense.
  
  Depending on his overall mood, Alexei is usually quiet if he feels he cannot be bothered with others – and it is not because others bother him nor does he think he is better than them, it is simply because he rather remain quiet and not interfere with the social aspects, the superficiality of the majority. In other circumstances, a spark of mischief and charisma will emulate, but very rarely as Alexei reserves his charisma and true merriness for those who he deems will appreciate that side of his character. He is a bit like a pendulum. In a way, he is quite loyal to what he believes in. Quite strong in his stance and unshakable, and will protect those who he loves, by means of violence, or even just talking.

  Usually, he is depicted as a mysterious, quiet man generally around strangers yet if danger is provoked, Alexei will put himself in the danger for others, having grown up in the slums – he has a very strong sense of community spirit. He can be quite stubborn, and sometimes a little intimidating since his statuesque characteristics indeed can frighten some. But otherwise, Alexei is very much so a gentle giant. Furthermore, Alexei usual way of speaking is rather sarcastic and cynical.
