Honestly, I've always been jealous of people with "artistic representatives", often fluffy little winged puppies or simply a sketchy drawing of themselves with kitty ears. I was jealous because I could never find something that took what I wanted to portray properly. Apparently I was just wording the whole thing wrong in my head, because it wasn't until I found a contest that I knew just what to create. A group on DeviantArt I am a moderator of decided to have a contest with the theme of "You As An Artist" . It was open to most artistic categories and I knew I'd be drawing, and suddenly I knew what I'd be drawing.. Thus, Aloutte was born. She was naked and nameless and crawling bleeding on the floor. I didn't actually know I'd be keeping her until I drew her again. She appeared on my math work, my scrap test papers, I drew her four more times in my sketchbook. Merely days later I was chatting on Furcadia and remembered a character-less name I had kicking around on there. Given a name and wardrobe, I simply taught her to run.
Aloutte is beautiful to me. I have so many ideas for her, and I am excited to watch her develop.
