• Description

  Amaryl is a half dryad, the child of a woman who lay with a male tree spirit.
  As a result, Amaryl has skin colored like a brown tree bark, rich green eyes... and a plant growing out of his spine.
  
  Most people will mistake Amaryl for a normal human male with somewhat oriental-esque features, as most of his appearance is entirely human.
  This changes if one spends much time with him or sees him when in danger. From his lower spine, Amaryl has a vine-like plant that grows out of his back, and forms his clothing. The clothes normally take the form of loose oriental-style garb of woven fibers, however the plants will react when he is in danger and toughen into Samurai-like garb instead, providing a level of protection as the fibers become toughened wood and lacquer.
  
  Amaryl favors short hair to prevent tangles with his clothing as it changes. The color of his clothes adjusts through a year of his life, as if each year of his existence marks a season in terms of what color his plant-half displays.
