Instinctually provides assistance where necessary. Should he pass one without a home, he might offer his own in welcome. Amin doesn't seem to have any trouble giving his time or possessions to help those in need, though this is born out of a carelessness for trivial things than an inherently altruistic nature. He doesn't consider himself selfless, but also can't relate to people incapable of basic empathy. Not one to prostrate himself for a stranger, he will nevertheless always err on the side of doing The Right Thing, casual as he may.
Amin rarely causes trouble, patiently waiting for others to finish their thoughts or ideas before moving on. He might stick around with a strained smile or try to edge his way out of an uncomfortable situation, but he's been long since trained on the art of catering to those of high maintenance. This isn't to say he can't grow annoyed or always loves everything, but he is more likely to let things pass than to pick a fight over it. Confrontation is usually avoided.
Perhaps a smidge too old to live such a meager life, Amin is perfectly content to leave things as they are. Little in life has inspired him toward a goal, and rather than fight against the wave of disinterest, he accepts this about himself. As such, he can be quite taken by those with great ambition and those who dedicate their efforts toward something. He may be lacking in faith, but he holds great respect for those who are capable of it.
While coming across as friendly, Amin tends to keeps others at a distance. He appears open and accommodating, but doesn't seem to attach himself to anything in particular. His friends may be great and many, but they lack a certain intimacy required to be considered close. This is perhaps similar to his lethargy in life; it often attracts young people to him only to have them realize that there is no mystery to the man, and they immediately become disillusioned in the process. He is used to it, however, and holds no ill will.
For as open and carefree and Amin seems to be, he holds himself in quiet confidence. He isn't one to be taken advantage of -- or rather, he will determine to which point he will allow himself to be used. It is always clear that he will defend others where needed, but as for himself, his patience will eventually run dry and would-be abusers find that he isn't entirely as compliant as they once believed.
