  Summary: The first thing that needs to be said about Verrier is that he is extremely territorial, he’s the jealous type. If he happens to take a liking to you then on the plus side you now have a bodyguard but the other side of that coin is that he will probably try to kill anyone else that might try to take you from him. He is an extremely loyal person once his trust and favor is won, which is somewhat odd for a god. The fire-god can be ruthless, but he is generally more accepting and more kind to mortals so long as they show him respect. Occasionally he will take his human form and explore mortal cities and settlements in search of those he deems worthy of his blessing and power. He has a short temper though, so do your best not to insult him or it’ll be like throwing a burning match on a powder keg. Once angered he has the subtly of a rampaging bull and nothing will stand in his way.

  Likes: Verrier has an affinity for various metals and stones [though gold is his preference], and these items are usually the most received at his shrine as well as the offering of cinnamon, nutmeg, pomegranates, silk, alcohol, and tobacco [as these are some of his preferred items]. Aside from these things he also likes spicy food, reptiles, combat, fire [heat], and sleeping [he really enjoys sleeping].

  • He possess incredible strength, even while in human form.
  • Immunity to most forms of heat and fire
  • Heightened senses - he has great hearing, eyesight, and smell.
  • Healing - he can heal very quickly and can recover from any type of wound sustained through conventional means.
  • Fire breath - he can spit fire using two glands in his mouth and throat that secrete two different chemicals. When mixed they combust and acts similarly to napalm.
  • Flight - an ability that can only be used within his ‘dragon’ form or if he can manage to materialize his wings in his ‘human’ form.
  • Transformation - he can shift into a large lion-like dragon and is significantly more dangerous.
  • Pyrokinesis - Full blown manipulation of heat and fire. This varies from his natural ability to breathe fire as well as his immunity to most forms of fire and heat. This ability is possibly one of Verrier’s most powerful abilities and thus is blocked from him during his every day, mundane life.

  • Binding Sigils - there are certain sigils that can bind him for a short period of time
  • Sage - burning sage hinders his sense of smell [it can also mask your scent so that he cannot smell you]
  • Chains forged during a solar eclipse - these will bind him indefinatly [must be a total eclipse]
  • The Tablets of Destiny - being a son of Tiāmat means that he is in her army and is bound to whosoever holds the Tablets of Destiny.
