  One of the more notable things about Avery is that he is very reserved in comparison to some of his companions. Favoring to observe those around him and the current situation quietly, he prefers to speak only when spoken to or when he feels it to be necessary. In addition to this, a fairly serious air tends to hang around the young man, showing more clearly in blue eyes that speak of experience beyond his years.
  
  Slow to trust, it can take time before someone can get more than a few words out of him during their first encounter. But, over time, those who do manage to get closer to him and prove to him that he can trust him will find that he is a loyal friend.
  
  Yet, despite seeming to be unapproachable at times, Avery isn't always such a grump. When not hunting Werewolves, Vampires, or other creature of the supernatural variety, he becomes relaxed and shows a somewhat different side of himself. Kind to those closest to him, he is known for being mischievous on occasion and, even when caught during one of his tricks and presented with 'evidence', will act like he never was involved. When it comes to a request for conversation brought on by another, it is very rare for him to turn it down. Be it the most meaningless of things, as his team of hunters often drag him into, or another topic that is more in depth, so long that it isn't one that makes him uncomfortable, he will participate. Even so, his responses at times still remain few and, often times, may be seen as curt with how short they can be.
  
  Behavior that is deemed inappropriate will often make him uncomfortable. If continued, this will often lead to Avery becoming embarrassed rather quickly and will opt remove himself from the situation if he is just a bystander. But, if it is aimed towards him, he will simply put an end to whatever it is, from unwanted, annoying, and loud flirting to acts that try his patience.
