• Biography

  Aviere was born in a small fey village. Little fey scurrying around from toadstool home to cloth tent, all making due with the bounty of the forest... and occasional hapless traveler having things stolen from their pack by "tricksy" fairies. Her people had a general distrust of larger folk, trying their best to hide away as much as possible.
  
  When Aviere was only a few months old, a curious pair of humans stumbled upon the fey village. Her mother took an interest in these two people, more so than any fey should. They aren't trustworthy, she was told. She didn't care.
  
  Until neither she nor the humans returned.
  
  Naturally, this only worsened the village's mistrust. Aviere was raised solely by her father, though truly she and every child was just as much raised by the entire village.
  
  The tribeswoman took a particular interest in her. Aviere was trained in spirit magic, the art of calling on the spirits of ancestors to grant magical power. Though with all magic, there are rules, there is study, there is devotion. And Aviere spent much of her time studying this art.
  
  When Aviere had reached the age of three years old, she could be considered a fully grown fairy. A pivotal time in any fey's life. It was at this point she met a human of her own, and just as her mother had gained a fascination for them, so did Aviere.
  
  The two immediately fell in love. They spent several days adventuring and spending time in elf and human taverns in town... but it didn't take long for Aviere to feel the pains of home, and certainly didn't want to abandon her father or the tribeswoman that had taken her under her wing.
  
  She took her human companion with her back home, causing quite a shock to the human-averse village she was used to. Her father was especially repulsed by the idea of his daughter falling in love with a human. It was at this point the tribeswoman took Aviere under her wing, giving her one final lesson, away from the prying eyes of her father. Aviere was to become a shaman, by ritual and rite, and in doing so, learned the fate of her mother.
  
  With eyes opened, the tribeswoman gave Aviere the opportunity to choose for herself... to explore the world, a small being in a world far too large and foreboding, or remain here, bound forever to a life without pain.
  
  She chose to leave.
  
  That night, her mentor gave her a blessing: a chance to escape, unnoticed. Aviere took it without a second thought.
  
  Aviere spent nearly a year in her adventures with the human that took her away from her life surrounded by her tribe. A year spent traveling, fighting, meeting people of all shapes and sizes. She discovered she wasn't the only fey to leave home, though there were certainly only few. But all relationships come to an end at some point.
  
  Now, she adventures alone. Perfectly capable on her own with her spirit magic to protect and empower her. Who knows what the next adventure might bring?
