  • Description

    Standing at a mere 5'9", the avariel was none the less on the higher end of average heights for his purported species. Facial structure was second to none in that it was at once masculine and beautiful, somehow combining that elven allure with a strong jawline and pronounced features for an all together aesthetically appealing look. Features were symmetrical, perhaps far more so than nature might usually permit. Ultramarine hair reaching to mid-back worked nicely with the features of one so seemingly blessed as he, though these otherwise luxurious locks had been left quite well unkempt aside from some minor grooming. Large ears pointed high and to the back; another trait unusual amongst the aril-tel-quessir , yet somehow just so right as part of the overall presentation. Flesh was pale, of course, and with dully colored, almost corpse-like off-blue lips to tidy everything up nicely. Strangest of all, perhaps, was the elven man's eyes; they maintained a slight blue glow at all times, and their pupils, in addition to being slits, were slightly wider near the ends. Strange? Perhaps, but maybe not so much in a land filled so richly with magic, mystery, and intrigue. He was of fairly stout build for an elf, yes, but certainly not beyond what one might expect of an individual belonging to the warrior caste of his the avariel people. Like most avariel, he did possess a pair of wings. At roughly fourteen feet, it could be said that those broad, vaguely predatory wings might be more at home on a large bird of prey than some supposed elf. Those glorious appendages were feathered in a blue so dark that it might almost appear black--indeed, those whose eyes are not in perfect working order might easily mistake their coloration for being such.

    Clothing was varied and colorful, yet kept well to the blue theme this one seemed to prefer. The long coat was first and foremost; it was of elegant design, fusing together oriental and European aesthetics for something fairly unique for its time. This primarily blue piece was just a bit shy of having length matching its wearer's height, in that the three tails came quite close to making direct contact with the ground. It was of remarkable make, that long coat, even having had a tiny quantity of actual gold dded in to make the trim stand out that much more. More fetching, however, was the oriental dragon that began on the left shoulder, ran back behind the neck, and actually reached all the way down to just below the hip on the right side. Five straps ran vertically across each sleeve below the forearm, and each strap in turn was secured at its end by bronze buttons matched perfectly in color to those running down the center of the coat. Accompanying this coat was a matched set of leather riding gloves and boots, black, scale patterned pants, and a scaled breastplate colored in accord with the aforementioned gold trim. Lastly, but certainly not least: the belt. It was just a run of the mill leather belt with a few attached satchels and a dagger sheathed just behind the right hip.
