  • Personality

    A constantly lethargic and grumpy individual, Befana presents himself in a dull and emotionless vein that makes it seem very much he's disinterested in what is going on, when in actuality he is merely very hard to excite. About anything. He comes off as serious because he is serious; it's very hard to joke around with him or get him into the mood for it.

    He is always very tired and spaces out easily because of it. Befana's sleep schedule is hectic; he only sleeps around three hours out of the twenty-four and spends the rest constantly tending to his library, books, or, wow, what's that, studying magic? Summoning weird eldritch shit in the back room of the library? Scanning library cards for missing or overdue books? Going to that person's house and cutting off their hands?

    Befana is very patient and, while he will get snippy as all hell with someone, he rarely betrays his calm and level disposition in favor of raising his voice and often speaks very quietly. He is secretly a very older-brother type and is very helpful to anyone who needs, uh, librarial assistance. Bef is very loyal once you manage to get him to not be such a tight-ass and embark on the SS Friendship. However, he is a grudge-holder and judges extremely harshly based on first impressions so watch urself....

  • Appearance

    Tall and lissome, Befana is intimidating because of his semi-constant scowl and stiff body language. His face and entire head is framed with a long, fluffy and very knotted mop of purple hair and his eyes are scary and weird and hard to look at; the sclera are a dark purple while the pupils are a faint lavender, almost white color. This is his warlock's mark that discerns him from humans. Bef's wardrobe is modest and formal and he can usually be found in a crisp button-up shirt and an ugly patterned bow-tie and some dark trousers.

  • Powers

    As a cambion, Befana possesses the ability to perform high-level magic and has exercised this to the fullest; he is a fully and very capable magician. He can perform various spells without having to refer to a book and a lot of the spells he's memorized have little to nothing to do with day-to-day uses; he merely felt the need to push himself to memorize literally, uh, every spell he could find and manage to remember.

    When a magical device (amulet, wand, some... other enchanted item...) is on his person he is significantly more powerful. Magical items do break after being used to the limit of their enchantment (generally the older it is and the more battles it's been in increases its strength and durability, however) and can be anything. He could enchant his socks.
