• Brief History

  Alek was imprisoned when she was younger for the (supposedly) accidental murder of her father. A 'problem' child throughout her youth, Alek was always thrill seeking and cared for very little other than that rush of adrenaline. She would steal, bully, mock and smash her way through the world in order to get what she wanted. Until the entertainment value of something ran dry, she left it alone and moved on. Murder had not been something she had considered to "move on" to. But the rush was unlike anything she had ever felt. Though Alek isn't necessarily blood thirsty and is not just a mindless fool out for a good time. The woman has a good business head on her shoulders and would often market off her stolen goods for far more than their worth. Even in prison (between lashings and threatened amputation), Alek set up a successful dice and card table and gathered a collection of muscular lackeys to do her dirty work for her. She was bought out of the prison by Captain Brontide, apparently due to this gambling table and supposedly fantastic luck. Considering the Captain found her, perhaps she is incredibly lucky after all.
  
  Alek showed promise aboard The Intaha with her amazing dice and card skills, along with her speed, athleticism and trick shots with a pistol. The woman can shoot the wings off a fly being eaten by a fish, which itself is being eaten by a gull. At least, that's what people say.

• Abilities

  It has been known that Alek has the peculiar ability to pool her 'amazing luck' into other things. Namely dice or cards. The 'rolls' can be used to grand those of her choosing various boons. Such as remarkable reflexes, a spurt of energy, uncanny grace, razor sharp wit, a silver tongue or greater strength. The extent of her repertoire is unknown, even to Alek herself. It seems that Alek's freedom and state of happiness has something to do with how this power came into being.
