  • Personality: Multiple. The one that is mostly shown is extremely skittish and vulnerable, stuttering and stammering. This side of her is the one that works as a nurse... the other is violent and hard to control once out. This is the killer known as Bloody Marie. Mellows out into neutral when comfortable

• Description

  Marie is a person of many different faces, and not just because she has a split personality. She can come into play in many different mediums. For instance, she was originally a character in a middle ages fantasy themed roleplay where she gained most of her traits. Most recently she has appeared in a fantasy roleplay that I myself moderate and will be (spoiler alert) a minor antagonist. But the most different of them all is actually in the form of a character in a novel in progress. So, needless to say, a lot was changed about her then. I'll write out the different bios on different notes. If it is about her original form, it'll be marked with (original), if it's the Marie from my rp it'll be marked with (Mabiwen), and if it's the Marie from my novel, it'll be marked with (Mental.)

• Biography

  (ORIGINAL):
  
  Marie was born between a human father who worked as a slave trader and an Adunian (mixed human and wood elf, classifies as own race due to time) mother that was his slave. For most of her life, she lived in a small cell with her mother who almost entirely ignored her and shunned her. The only light she got to see was from the doorway out to the rest of the home her "father" owned, and a grate so tiny that it just made things seem more hopeless. After years and years of being belittled, treated as merchandise, starving away since she was only supplied enough food and water to keep her living, she lost her mind and her personality split in two. It's hard to tell which personality came first, it basically being a case of the Chicken or the Egg. Her personality was separated between two polar opposites. Gentle but nervous and violent but charismatic. It should be noted that these two personalities are a universal constant for her, they are always the case with her no matter her location. But continuing on, the way she escaped? Her father left the home and returned drunk plenty of times but one particular time, around the time Marie was 16, he became careless with where he was leaving his weapons. You see, his main job was the slave trade but he had to find employment through other means because of laws and pauses between trading. That employment... was a lumberjack.
  
  Down in the basement was the cell that held Marie and her mother, but that was not all it held. Across the way, out of reach from the bars, was a desk with different documents of trade and business. He left his axe leaning against the desk, a bit too close to the bars. Seeing this as an opportunity for freedom, Marie managed to reach through the bars to retrieve the axe and slide it through, it just barely fitting. She went to talk to her mom but she lashed out, not realizing she had the axe. In a fit of rage, Marie brought the axe down upon and claimed her first life, her mother's. One could argue it was an act of mercy, another could argue it was unnecessary. Either way, she didn't care. She broke through the lock of the cell and departed upstairs to where her devious father was unconscious in bed. She slaughtered him. Then, still carrying his axe, she moved on to find a place in the world, and discover what everything was.

  (MENTAL):
  Marie is a character with a shrouded background, except for the fact that she almost got away with the murder of three people. Two in which she had poisoned through food, and one of which she stabbed through the neck while they tried to escape. She was deemed insane by court when on trial, and she was shipped off to Hopehill Hospital where the story takes place because the prison for the criminally insane was... well, extremely full at the time and Marie was a fragile looking woman where she would belong in no way, shape, or form. She is kept in a "secure room", the typical padded room, straitjacket and all. She has more interaction later in the story and becomes a minor anti-hero.
