    Erudite, soft-spoken, venal. The Poet Cassius is a scholar of considerable merit and a lord of meagre origins, and certain members of the court who gloss over the former are quick to remind him of the latter. If he's resentful over his humble lineage, however, he's remarkably mild-mannered about it, a curtain of congeniality and worldly affability perpetually layered over his face, indistinguishable from the scars and creases and other precipitates of age. Currently an adviser to the Lord of Castle Coratiel (and formerly an adviser to its former master), this overarticulate polymath dispenses wise counsel and diverse knowledge on whatever is presently needed. He can typically be found poring over scrolls in the library, having recently filled the position of the head archivist.

    Vacillates between Lawful and True Neutral, depending on which of his desires – the pursuit of knowledge or the pursuit of status – is more salient on any given day.

    Methodical, analytical, cautious, patient, generally amiable. Despite his tolerant demeanour, Cassius has high expectations for those who seek to secure his loyalty and respect.
