    Elyria was basically turned into forbidden writing. A dark and forbidden tome was placed upon her during her childhood in a dangerous ritual. After the ritual there were complications though. Basically they done fucked up and left her an open receptacle that they couldn't shut again. She's become a living conduit of dark magic in the written form. A touch to a book causes her to replicate it now, no matter the sort of book. The book doesn't lose the writing within, but she absorbs the text exactly. (wards can interrupt this process) Before a raid on the place she lived certain precautions were taken to protect her from the affliction. She was taken in the raid and after some discussion from a lot of nervous officials she was sentenced to be executed as a danger to everyone or some nonsense like that.

    It's said she causes calamities. Milk to spoil, crops to fail, animals to become diseased, babies to be born deformed or stillborn... Disasters to happen like lightning striking someone, houses catching fire, floods to destroy homes and lands. But this can't possibly be true..can it?
