  Physical:
  
  Emilia is a vampire. As a result, her skin is very pale and she has fangs. She is physically about 17 or 18, but seems younger due to her small stature. She is rather small-built and is slender, enforced by the fact that she had been corseted for the majority of her life. Her face is round, with high cheekbones and delicate features.
  
  Personality, Strengths, and Weaknesses:
  
  Emilia is a very kind, sweet person who seems to care more for others than herself. Her disregard for self is partially a consequence of her sense of self-worth -- or lack thereof. She feels some feelings of self-doubt, made worse by the fact that her personality clashes with her nature as a vampire. She tries to be cheerful and optimistic, but certain events may trigger her, turning her self-doubt and tendency to worry into anxiety and mental/emotional breakdowns. (However, total breakdowns are rare and are the result of bad things "piling up.") But normally, she's sensitive, very soft-spoken, and shy, and is often hesitant to do things. Her hesitance and second-guessing of self is to a tremendous fault, since it makes it difficult for her to make important decisions.
  
  When in a fight, she tends to run away, but if something horrible happens or if she needs to defend someone, she will. Most of her fighting is out of defense. She dislikes violence on the whole, and she is ashamed of some of the things she has done. She has the capability to snap and give into her more animalistic tendencies when put under extreme pressure, which has occurred a handful of times in her life. She's well-mannered and old-fashioned -- which is not surprising, given her age; she had been raised to act like a lady. Her curiosity tends to get the best of her, and she is prone to wandering as a result of it. Her skin burns extremely easily in the sun, and her vision is sensitive to it. The smell of garlic makes her sick. Her abilities span the quintessential, traditional abilities of vampires, from hypnotism to transforming into a bat.
  
  Despite her modesty and generally old-fashioned behavior, time and several marriages have caused Emilia to stop caring about premarital sex. However, she will only sleep with someone if they are seriously dating.
  
  History:
  
  Emilia's family is of French descent, but had moved to England several generations before she was born. She and her immediate family moved to America and settled in the Massachusetts in 1779, when she was 7. Several years later, she was arranged to marry a wealthy man from Boston, named Jeremiah Hawthorne; he was several decades her senior. They married in the latter half of 1788. Emilia accepted the marriage, and was indifferent to her husband, neither quite loving him nor hating him; she still did her best to be a good wife. In 1789, she started exhibiting symptoms of an illness, determined to be consumption, and strangely went through phases of being bedridden and functioning normally. Seven months later, in the January of 1790, she "died." She currently does not know who her sire is, nor does she know the reason why she was turned.
  
  She traveled for a short while before settling down and wanting to return to the relatively quiet sort of life she had been used to. She spent the next (roughly) two centuries in a series of failed relationships. She was in Paris for some time, living there for about twenty-five years. During this time, she was engaged, but her fiance found out about her condition and immediately left her. Unwilling to stay where people might suspect her of being a vampire, she left Paris and went back to America, moving to upstate New York. By 1855, she was married once again, and was happy -- until her husband left for war, and was killed in 1863. She moved again, going back to London for over forty years, and once again returned to the U. S. in 1903. By 1910, she was married a third time, and remained with him until he passed away from tuberculosis in 1926. Emilia did not marry again.
