    Gwenevere is the third child of Galorias and Igraine d'Gwyndolin, King and Queen of Hylacile, though the legitimacy of her birth is often contested. She has two older brothers, Artorias and Galahad. Artorias is the oldest, and heir to the throne of Hylacile. Galahad renounced his birthright and became a Ranger, leaving Gwenevere second in line for the throne.
