For all intents and purposes, you should not be alive— it is unlikely you would've survived more than three sweeps without being adopted by the t'rallbe'harpei'gh, having lost a significant amount of muscle mass in your legs and being unable to properly walk and fend for yourself as a result— but you like to think that's reason enough to be confident in your fated significance in the universe, otherwise why would you be here to begin with? Surely the stars are trying to lead you in some direction, which is why you've managed to adapt to the universe around you, despite all odds. You were meant to produce something extraordinary, to be something notable, and move beyond what your caste generally dictates for your life.
Following your intrinsic pull towards creation, your main passion in life comes in the form of experimental filmmaking, a direction that you believe has been unfairly overlooked in Alternia's film community. In a society that places little value on art over practicality, how do you define that which cannot be defined? Sure, it doesn't turn profits at the troll blockbuster, but what does society have to gain from the same mindless drivel being presented over and over again, with nothing there to test the limits of your medium or the minds of your viewers? So, you attempt to fight against the current state of the film industry by refusing to conform to the soulless constraints of the film industry— your home movies have no straightforward, easily-digestible plot, and you refuse to adhere to blockbuster movies along the veins of Wherein Numerous Vigilantes Confront Peril; One Of Them Betrays The Others; (But It Turns Out To Be Part Of The Plan All Along); Several Attractive Female Leads Provoke Romantic Tension; Four Major Characters Wear Unusual Hats; One Holds Plot-Critical Secret; 47 On-Screen Explosions, One Resulting In Demise Of Key-Adversary; 6 to 20 lines That Could Be Construed As Humorous, so on and so forth.
Not to mention that your editing is all over the place, allowing you to both take risks with unconventionally abstract non-narratives and also screw around a lot with your camera in the woods behind your house. It's a shame that your budget is small, your cast is nonexistent, and there's no market for you to break in through, especially considering you are very much an amateur auteur, whose attempts at being artsy and deep are often undermined by your shaky technical skill and lack of developed direction.
But these so-called "film experts" can't critique you for that because it's part of the message, and you'd be missing the point by even attempting to judge critically using conventional understandings of the medium! People just don't understand real art, you guess, and seem to be sleeping on your inherent talent and undiscovered genius. In general, it doesn't seem like a lot of people like listening to your completely sound and novel ideas on how to fix things, and some would call you a bit of a nag. Others would simply call you a control freak. Hmph. It's not like you're obviously the only one with any common sense or pragmatism here, or the glue holding everything together, or light years ahead of your times, or anything. Their loss for not listening.
